Oh My God, exact same happened to me. here is the storyOriginally posted by satyajitrc View PostHi ZMRians,
Am normally busy with my job from 08th to 22nd of every month so X-Bhp is not accessed much during this time.
Had a harrowing time for my Sweet ANGEL and hence was remorse
and could not even look into this Forum.
Because this would add insult to my injury and pain only.
However overcame this SAD moment and back with a vengeance
of course!!!
At 30220 Kms after 28 Months ANGEL had to be Hospitalised with Respiratory Failure.
On 18-Sep-2012 around 06:30 PM while returning Home from Office the movement stopped all on a sudden.
Lucky this happened very near to our IT Office hub in Kolkata and hardly 3 Kms away near NICCO Park, Salt Lake.
With in half an hour HELP poured in thru X-Bhp ians and my Biker Group friends with KTM, CBR, ZMA & GS150 dropped in.
Even our local Bike SHOP for Gears and Accessories dropped in with a mechanic around 08:30 PM.
The irony was being a day after VISHWAKARMA PUJA even my SVC was also closed and most Mechanics were in a
trance.
Some how even with all this Help BABY refused to budge and our normal Biking JNAN failed miserably.
Actually it never failed but I wanted to be sure and my way of consolation.
However it was tied with Road side Political banner cloths behind the Yellow ZMA and dragged back to my Office Parking at 10:15 PM.
Accordingly I pushed back Home huffing and puffing in a Yellow CAB and reached around 11:30 PM.
Next day our Biker Shop sent one TATA ACE and the PATIENT was Air Lifted from Basement Garage to SVC Garage around 04:30 PM.
After reaching the HOSPITAL my preferred DOCTOR advised me to take rest and said would open and check on Friday 21-Sep-2012.
Since on THURSDAY it was Bharat Bandh it was no way possible.
The dreaded news was confirmed on FRIDAY and I was dumbstruck. Respiratory Failure.
Damage of FUEL Pump is to the tune of 12000 INR and I was literally searching for answers.
Had a personal visit to the Hospital next day to visit my ANGEL and completed some formalities.
YES honestly I was lucky enough that this is getting covered under my EXTENDED WARRANTY but never knew when this could be available.
Had an UPDATE that this has already dropped into my ASS and would be ready soon enough.
Planning to release from HOSPITAL by next weekend but may be with some broken Bones due to AIR LIFTING.
Need to claim the Belly thru INSURANCE.
Now I am relieved after sharing my PAIN with you all.
BLOGGING WHEELS & DHIRAJ hinted this few pages back.....
A well maintained & serviced ZMR had to face this ordeal and then it can happen to anyone.
Fuelling is done from one of the best Petrol bunks in Eastern India.
Do not Recall the last time when my Tank was empty since always refuelled in 300 Kms.
Whole days I was in training which was enough monotonous to put me in sleep.
I started from office Manayta Tech Park Bangalore at 6 PM. My bike was having just around 1 litre of fuel so got it filled till the brim near Manayta.
I was cruising and hoping to reach home at least by 7.30PM,but hard luck that at one of the signal bike refuse to start. I just draged the bike for 2 km and got a local mechanic but he didn't able to fix the issue. I called Sri Chandu Motor Manager and asked for telephonic help.
The issue identified as fuel pump is not working. So I got one Tempo and somehow managed to get the bike at home by 10 PM by paying Rs 1600.
Next day I pulled the bike to SS as it's just 1 km from my house. Since it's under warranty so got it replaced free of cost.

The pic's would've already been here a long time back, but the owner is a scary guy hence am waiting for a chance to make my move.Originally posted by ertiga_zmr View PostI am dying to see the pics, kindly do the needful.

Black ZMR.
First mod he did was remove all the stickers, DAMN! I've never seen a sexier bike, then he goes further and removed the fairing, and I have to say, with a round RX helmet, the bike looks awesome, kinda gives the off roader look. If possible will try to sneak the pics tomorrow itself.Motorcycling Experience:

2. PHILIPS Xtreme Power 55/60W (Earlier form of Xtreme Vision, had this for our City purchased in 2009 online for 1200 INR a pair, given to one Bhpian)
3. PHILIPS Xtreme Vision 55/60W (Available now and little on whiter side compared to Xtreme Power for 500 INR, Lamp returned to the Shop)
5. HALONIX 55/60W (Used this from a parked ALTO in my Flat)
4. PHILIPS Diamond Vision 55/60W (Available now and very much on whiter side but pathetic in Rains for 500 INR, still having this in my Home)

Thanks a lot, it satisfied my soul.. I will change to Philips Xtreme Vision 55W in near future, for now I am using Halonix 60/55W bulb. Could easily see the difference.. Planing to change my rear tyre to Pirelli 110/90 -18. Any one giving any review and suggestion on this is welcomed..Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostNo modifications required. All stock.
I beg to differ from your mechanic, the full load that the alternator can take in ZMR is approx 232W or somewhere close to 238W, but with stock components, max load is only 188-190W. That gives you 40W to play with.
I used Philips Halogen 55W (normal ones, 80 INR a piece) earlier. Moved to Philips Xtreme Vision 55W of late.
Saying that difference is quite noticeable would be an understatement.
I am nearing my 6th servicing and my last free servicing. Please suggest any thing that I need to take care of and what are things that is done in this last free servicing.. I will wait for feedback form xbhpian's...
Regards,
Antan Banerjee..

Sorry to see what happened to your ZMR..I guess the Fuel pump is an Achilles heel of an otherwise dependable bike.Good to know that it is covered under extended warranty that you had thoughtfully taken...Originally posted by satyajitrc View Post......................................
