    • Hi all,
Posting after long time about my 7 months old R.
Yesterday suddenly my speedo gone down, it wasnt working. So removed the speedo meter wire... it was broken. Bought new one, thinking will do it @ home. But the screw near fork was so tight, I could not open it, so went to service center. He was also trying to open that, so he started hitting that screw with hammer due to which the whole unit (between the alloys and fork) broke, but he replaced it with new one. After fitting also, meter was not working. Service station guy told, the sensor is faulty and costs around 4500/- ....
But he again opened it and tried to fit it again, and then it was working.

Total expense: Rs. 20/- (only inner wire cost)

my bike is stock, no add ons, but still the LCD consoles dims a little while starting and also their is difference in horn sound in night[all electricals are on] than day.

same here, after monsoon nuts of silencer and under seat there is also rusting. i have applied formula one wax to prevent it from further rusting.

For karizma or better to say for all HH bikes, HH stock oil is best. however there are various option available. i have red some good reviews about castrol power one racing.

but make sure the grades are similar.

                • BIKE Fall on RHS

Ominous welcome back in the Forum.

One hour ago I was having LUNCH. Security called in my EXTN to inform me that MY BIKE has fallen.

Rushed downstairs, the alarm was activated and people have lifted to Main Stand.

Bike was perfectly parked on the Side stand. I was forced to do this in this week due to corporation work since the ROAD was dug out.

To be precise I am very upset. Cannot console my scratched heart.
Only SCRATCHEs observed till now. Planning to change the entire RHS.

Moreover the Rear TYRE pressure has also gone down.

Is there a possibilty that BIKE can fall automatically when in side stand if rear pressure goes out??

                    Rakesh & Anmol,

I have read a lot and found that SYNTHETIC is in fact really good.
But I prefer using the HH Oil since it is always available.
May be there are quality issues.

But I do not use the BPCL one, rather use the TIDE one. Change within 1000 kms.

You cannot revert back to the default one once you start using Synthetic.

Sorry to hear that...as bike was parked on side stand...may be other vehicle has hit from side or so ....in side stand bike can easily fall if some one hit...

Also, suggest not to park bike specially in Parking under a side stand....

Too bad yaar.. hope there will not be any other kind of damage except the scratches as it has fallen when parked

Reg synthetic, its too bad that we cannot use normal Oil once we change to synthetic. I would think this over again and decide!

this situation makes the owner really sad, as there was no fault from his side.

the bike can not fall automatically if rear pressure goes out with side stand, some one must have pushed/moved it which caused it to fall.

                          • "White Knight"....6 month's old, 7,500 kms done

                            Guys,

After going through the thread I finally decided to post my ownership reivew of my new White Karizma ZMR(aka white knight).

Bought the vehicle on 3rd march 2010 with lot of hopes even though i used to ride the older ZMA-R model for more than 2 yrs. Touring being a passion the ODO on the last vehicle was 35K in just 2 yrs with almost 30K on the highways. So the experiance i had with karizma was mind boggling. Thought of P220 but the thing came in my mind was "Reliability", i am not sure when i will start the bike and will be off for a long tour or visit my relatives staying 500 kms apart. So nailed it down to the newer bike.

Once it was delivered the first thing that impressed me was the engine sound, it had some new music and better beats which was missing in the older one. Took the vehicle out and next surprise was the pick-up. Not that great but better than older model, believe me it was a head turner. Did couple of small rides spanning 100-200 kms in the first 1000K running in. Also did a Bangalore-Tirupati ride as soon as i touched 1K kms on the ODO. The engine was smooth, no heating issues and man what an avg. Even though the speeds were a constant 90-100 got an avg of 43 which was really impressive.

Did a 130 top speed and bike was damn stable, its been more than 7K on the ODO and no complaints with it, found that its a tab better than the carb version but even that one was a sweet heart.

Here's a glimpse of my older sweet heart "Eagle",

2 wheels move your soul but it takes a long ride to actually realize it....tough-tourer

                                VERYHIPHOP, RAKESH & ANMOL,

No, it was not hit by any vehichle or person since all the securities in our adjoining office premises takes care of this BABY nicely.

Even for small issues they call me and let me know. They do not allow anyone to sit or stand on the Bike since they know this Bike has a Remote Lock.

However checked thoroughly, only minor scratches but this is the first time it has fallen, my HEART ached badly for the ANGEL.

Done the TYRE pressure from a nearby shop and rode few KMs. It seems OK. Thanks for all your condolences.
