I live in Calicut and booked a Classic 350, day before yesterday. Dealer says 4 months but expected by end of April.

Did my 2nd service yesterday. Bike has done 3200kms. The thump feels good now and the gears are becoming smoother. The Tail lamps wiring was replaced under warranty. The sad part is that its still below the rear fender. Not confident with it, should find an alternative path.

Might get the bend exhaust tomo.

Eagerly waiting your review of the bike with the bent exhaust. Price of the exhaust?

Hey Prabhu, did you change engile oil in second service? I am asking because you mentioned that the thump has changed and grears became smoother.
Also, How much engine oil is needed? per manual its 2.75 ltr but at actual it takes 2 ltr. Please confirm.

Are you planning to put twin horns on it? The factory one doesn't make any sense.

            Keep thumping.

Ya, dude I keep changing the engine oil on all services and the oil filter in alternative services. Not sure about the exact quantity, as we took it from the barrel. I might not put twin horns but the might put a air horn(only on highways) and a HID. To your question on horns controlled by ECU, its not the ECU that controls the horn circuit, but there is a fuse for that circuit, so if U put twin horns the fuse might blow.

That's true, but what if I put a relay for twin horn? Per mechanic here, putting twin horn will reduce current going to ECU thus result in engine stall or malfunction of EFI. Is this correct?
I believe putting air horn and/or HID might cause the same problem.

If you are putting a Relay, then do it directly from the battery. This will nt harm the existing circuits. I install my HIDs this way.

The oil filter must be changed during every oil change. Don't skimp on this critical part.

                    Cheers,

So have you already put HIDs?
Normally we connect relay directly to the battery, but the question remains same will ECU have any problem after putting high amp horns or HIDs? sorry for being annoying but I really need to make sure that I am not screwing on anything.

                              More problems:
The mileage of the bike has dipped to 22kmpl. Thut the petrol bunk fellows jacked me. did another check, its proved to be same. So checked the spark plugs last night. It was as dark as a coal. So opened the airfilter to inspect.

With no lambda sensor they wuld ve tuned the FI sytem at chennai - a hot place. coming north the temps are dropping. So may be FI is not doing its duty. Or may be it needs a cold plug.

                              Things to do:
                              1) Get the bend silencer from those guys fast.
                              2) Get a K&N filter
                              3) Take the bike to my comet mech (Irshad) and tune the FI properly.

Why don't you take this problem to RE customer care? See what they say. We can force them to install lambda sensors on our bike if really needed. What's say?
