@all : svc guys putting 20W40 instead 20W50....its happenning everywhere ! so make sure you ask them to put 20W50 (bajaj dtsi 1000) instead of any (valvoline etc.) 20W40 oil...
that was originally even called the XCD Sprint...it was just a concept on which they worked on and developed the P135LS...yes cosmetically this one has borrowed some parts from the XCD but definitely not the engine...so it cannot be called a 'clone' in particular...and whatever has been developed is indeed a better product than the XCD...Originally posted by Ronits View PostGuys...did anyone of u ever realize that Pulsar 135LS is just a slight modified version of XCD 135 DTS-SI version!! Google it guys...everything looks same except for the headlight! Even the odo n tacho looks the same! And still I see people admiring the looks of P135,but never heard of people admiring its clone XCD135...this suggest how Bajaj auto has achieved its target by just giving the tag name of 'Pulsar' and thats it...people start buzzing around it!! Funny! NOM.
false shift or hard gear shifting isnt a big problem with this bike...so stop worrying....i would suggest to stick to the bajaj recommended oil for the time being...Originally posted by BikerKid View Postso i took it to the svc will know whats wrong with it by afternoon....my bike is very new not ridden much but i find it difficult to put it to neutral its a hassle it just does'nt like to get in to neutral..it does rather quickly after i press the engine kill switch...gears are little stiff. too..is it beacuse i have ridden it only for 145 kms or is there a problem? and should i stick to dtsi 1000 or use castrol?A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

Hi xbhp mates
i bought this bike last week. i have some issues with this bike.
1. When i start the bike idle RPM goes almost 4000(i guess, auto choke) then comes to around 1200. but after 1km drive, idle speed becomes 2500. can any one tell why?. any problem with the bike or its my driving style wrong?
2. when i need to reduce the two gears at a time, the gear is not getting engaged. when again i depress the clutch and reduce the gear, gear changes with the 'DUM' sound.
when asked abt this to my friend having p135, he said he also had this problem and got cured after 1 st service. can anyone confirm this?

1. no problem with your driving style mate....yes thats auto-choke...when idle speed becomes 2500rpm reduce it down to 1-1.5k...and tell this to the svc guys...they may tell you the reasons(hopefullyOriginally posted by Rocket135 View Posti bought this bike last week. i have some issues with this bike.

) and they will adjust the air-fuel mixture settings..
2.this bike has had issues about shifting gears but they will lessen with time and usage....nothing much can be done about it..

'only headlight is different'-Dude,You couldn't get me!...What i meant is that the styling looks the same, the P135 n XCD DTS-SI. N its true, even P135 owners have agreed which is why the P135 was originally even called the XCD Sprint! Engine n other movable parts might differ...N bro, unless one is an Automobile Engineer, its tough to rate a bike without help from experts which is easily accessible via Google! Its pretty easy to say that people know what their bike n all,but talking of the broader picture, one has to know the pros n cons of his/her bike to rate it! N ya,i actually prefer being realistic and I talk based on facts, possible gained thru Google(as I m not 'GOD' to know everything),thats why ul find such posts from me in future also...

Thanks NiN... Am getting used to my p135.Originally posted by nin View Postcongrats for your new bike...so how do you find your ride ?
- I love the power this guys delivers. He overtakes His own siblings on highways. I love doing it.
- He is really handsome and Red on him makes him look sexy. On him I feel like I own a costly bike.
- Handling is like knife on butter. Superb.
- He sounds more manly with that Engine grunt.
but not happy with few things like
- Not able to get the neutral at all. irritating. On B2B traffic, I struggle to get the neutral, and if I get it the traffic moves on. so no way I can get my hands off the clutch.
- Second gear slips down to Neutral while moving. happens very frequently. Very Scary. I hate it actually. Don't know how to get rid of this.
- Pain in the palms. Very painful sometimes in B2B traffic particularly on left hand. Dunno if I use the clutch often or is it because it is tight and new. Thinking about getting a pair of riding gloves, may help.

so the tachometer is fixed. But the svc people have now screwed the handling...there's a squeaking sound on turning the handle either ways (its tighter) and the accelerator cable is also rubbing against the speedo assembly...
Man instead of just riding the bike n enjoying i am worried about this stuff..lol
