What is your bike's idle RPM ? Mine is 1K or sometimes little below 1K in the morning. 3 Days back it was 1.4 K. that was when the pick up, speed and sound were all good.

Currently, Auto Choke goes only for a short time and after that the engine goes off very quick and Engine start can be done only by giving accelerator a little else the bike wudn't start. Initially it was fine, The Auto Choke Rev would go for a long time and Engine would stay On.

I think the carburetor has to be tuned to get this rectified. But am wondering how did the settings go wrong so early within 500 Kms Odo ?
      Am I a Gay?
B'Coz nowadays I love riding this young male [pulsar135].

your idle RPM isn't what it should be..
Ride the bike for abt 10 mins, warm the engine well and set RPM to about 1200-1300..
So when there's a cold start the auto choke will do its job well, and engine won't stall...RPM wud come to about 1000-1100 RPM.

Also when u start the bike for first time in the morning, depress/release the clutch and kick for a couple of times..it helps the oil to slide in...And start the bike with kick..

        hope that helps..

When it's running fine it idle's at 1300-1400 since this prob started the rpm automatically goes below 1k and engine shuts, when the engine is warm it idle's fine....i've set the rpm when the engine was really warm but it keeps fluctuating own its own.....the clutch too seems okay today with no knocking and accelerating fine.

A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

                  I've got 60-62 on highway 75% + city 25%(approx.). Normally I get around 58kmpl which is about 75% in city area .

Right now the Odo is 498 Kms.
                        Friends

1 Service is Done for my Pulsar 135 @ 757 Kms Odo. The feel of the bike is little better but not as good as those initial 400 Kms.
I mentioned the SVC Guys about the Gear Shift problem but seems like they have done nothing to it. I even explained him one instance that almost took my life, when making a U turn in 2nd gear, the gear shifted itself down to neutral and the bike stopped in the middle of the road. A Speeding Safari made a sudden brake and stopped very close to me. But even after 1st service the problem exists.

After the 1St service the Idle RPM now fluctuates from 2K to little below 2K. Is this OK guys ? Has this got anything to do with the pick of the bike. BCoz still the response to the throttle is little delayed.

                        • checked milage again, 132 kms done purely on highway. Returned figure was 66kmpl!!!. I drove inside 70kmph, mostly in 50s on the 5th gear.

similar kind of a problem was discussed in this thread before. I don't know whether it's the same with your bike. Anyway refer page 85, it might help you.

I think it will be very helpful to other P135 owners( like me ) if some of you guys can comment there.

Did the kid have a valid driver's license? It's a crime to ride a non-registered vehicle. If I were in your shoes, I would contact that kid's parents and ask for the money spent on repairing the damages. Also, I would advise the kid's parents not to allow him to ride the scooter until he has a valid license and is old enough to understand the dangers on the road.

Just imagine if it would have been a truck / car instead of you. That could have been the kid's last day on earth!
Signals which are timed for 50 Kmph are also timed for 100 Kmph :)
