      Hi ! Nice simple mods there...how is the bike performing? And is that speed the true speed or the odo indicated one? Ive done 135kmph at more than 11k twice(indicated and on stock) good to see guys from across the borders here !

        Since, this problem has been in the bikes 1 year old and mine (just a month old), I don't think a new speedometer will do the trick.
        After all, in 1 year they could have started with a new speedometer for new models. If the problem is there in 2011 model I think it would be there in new Speedometer too.
        Bajaj Customers do get special privileges outta India.

          Don't worry Flame.... I too have this problem.. Evening's when I use my Low ? High Beam + the Electric Start, It keeps Blinking... It's fine till your E. Start stops working, I had shown this ti the SVC Guys, this Servicing they should be able to crack it.. The problem is with the connections (I was told..!!). Lets see, Will keep you Posted.

              There may be a possibility of the svc guys changing the air-fuel mixture settings at your last service...you could ask them to make it more rich or lean...

              I got it serviced and asked them to set the avg. hopefully it will be better now.
              Well my autochoke sensor needs to be replaced as every time I start the ignition the bike roars for 15-30 sec at 4K even if i swithcoff the engine after a ride and again start it i.e. even if its hot enough to not trigger the choke. They said, they do not have the spare and will inform me wen its available.

              Hell ya, this is the right place to ask abt ur P135.
              I too have this problem sometimes. Its starts blinking and then after say10-15 min its back to normal... I ususallly ignore it.

                yes its true speed on the speedometer... i have to compare with pulsar 200 and Kawasaki N250... i have dynotest too, but the result is 140kmh and the horsepower is 16.1... for information member of PEGASUS all chapter in Indonesia is 240 active user...

                  Any guide to maintaining the bike in mint condition. I have seen a lot of them all over the places but they are too generic like change oil regularly, Don't add unnecessary modifications etc. etc.

                  But that doesn't tell someone new to the scene anything.
                  Anywhere I can find something like
                  --> Change oil after every 1500 km.
                  or --> Don't replace with external tires with more than 130mm rim, it may effect mileage.

                    "true speed on the speedometer" is the indicated speed which has an error which definitely brings down the true speed of the bike..........excuse me for my ignorance but what is PEGASUS ?
                    A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels,scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

                      Goin for Motul 5100(15w50).. I gues it will suit our engines...
                      its priced arnd Rs. 450 here in kalyan..
                      any idea how much Hemant bhai retail it for??

                      i read abt Motul 7100(20w50) somewhere..any specs on this one??

                        I heard abt 7100 too. seems to be good. Its Ester Fully synth. for 4 stroke engine. Grade is API SA/ JSOA MA. It works for integrated gearbox or not and wet/dry clutch.
                        Also I heard Its for bikes meeting Euro 2 or Euro 3 emission regulation. Do we??
                        But these are all words of oil spec, ANYONE used it or heard abt its performance ??? Is this even available in india?? May be ebay online!!

                        But I guess you do not need this, 5100 or 300V will be enough for buttering the engine

                              Gave the bike for 4th Paid Servicing today... Noise from the engine was detected by me 15 days ago... the engineer say's may be the cam-shaft..!!
                              But its all under warranty.. only labor is chargeable.

                              Also, the SVC guy came up with a unique answer for that "Blinking Battery Icon", he says, when we use the Lamps, some times the battery charge goes below 12 (god knows what 12 was) and the icon blinks. I said it happens everyday..!! He said that it is not a problem, its just the icon blinking. I said, if Bajaj cannot find out the problem, at-least you do not give me answers which are irrelevant. Was getting late for the office, so thought to cut it short n move on.

                                Engine getting over heated.

                                Hello Frnds,

                                I am new to Xbhp and want to share some strange problem which am facing now, i just got my new Pulsar 135 last week and after driving for 200km i've notice something strange problem with this bike like even if i drive my bike at 35-45 kmpl speed my bike engine getting overheated and giving me heat to my legs like anything, i dont know if the problm is only with my bike or anyone else too facing the same. i am very much depress after such strange issue, before this bike i own 150 pulsar which was stolen from my Apt. will this issue get resolve after my service? please help me guys to sort such issue.
