    May be your bike is running rich, get it tuned properly or you should try changing the petrol bunk and see whether it works

      Problems with handle throttle and brakes

      hey guys! i went through all the posts in this thread and made me love my bike (Apache RTR hyper edge April 2011) even more!

      I was just having some problems with my bike and I was wondering if anyone else faced any such issues before.

      The handle bar was perfect when I started off. But when my bike completed 1 year and 5th service, the handle bar kinda jammed. the cutting through traffic is kinda difficult now since turing the handle is not smoo0th. Also added to the throtte jerks it difficult to pass through traffic in lower gears. The service fellas could not get what the problem was and they ignored it.

      The disc brakes get heated up even during a 2-3 Km ride?? And that screeching noise is so irritating.. its been there for over months now.

      The rusting on the silencer is too much on my bike but the service people said that its normal.. But i dont wanna end up paying more when the exhaust is out of warranty.

      Does any1 else face any such problems?? any solutions would be appreciated.

        Get the ball racer changed,throttle jerks?accelerator jams? change the accelerator cable
        change brake pad,

        repaint the silencer!for a while paint will burn,doesnt matter

          Hey guys, how much does a chain spray bottle manufactured by tvs cost? Is there any better one in that price range? Also, i'm thinking of buying the polish applied in svc that make the bikes shine. Is it safe? Does it cause any fading? Mine is a black hyperedge if that helps.

            TVS chain spray costs ~275. Its good VFM go for it.
            Polish used by SVC wont last long atleast in my case. Use Waxpol scooter polish. (30~40) you get this in all hardware shops. Cheap and best.

              I didn't wanna buy a big chain spray bottle, but couldn't find the small one anywhere in bombay. Finally got a 100ml one at a tvs svc in kerala for about a 100 bucks.

                I thought 500ml or 375gms was the standard never seen the smaller ones here. This one costs 295 MRP you can bargain for it.

                    What's with all the RTRs having the right rear shock leaking oil? The left ones are usually fine.

                      pass button failure

                      hey guys..
                      got my pass button fixed after a long time...the service guy said that there is a carbon build up over a course of time...now how is that possible???

                        Hi guys. My RTR 180 has done 4,800 KMS. There is a harsh screeching noise when the front brakes are used. It was the same thing with my rear brakes but when I got it serviced 2 weeks ago, the rear brake noise problem was solved. But the front brake noise started after some 20-25KM riding after the service. And I have noticed the noise on other RTR's as well. Do I have to get a new set of brake pads? Or is there any temporary fix until the next service.. The braking performance has not changed at all, its just the annoying noise.

                          maybe dirt has gone into the brake pad and disc,wash it with a water jet!it shud work

                            Rattling noise from the Visor

                            Hey guys, my 160's visor produces rattling noise from 4k rpm and it keeps on. It's noticeable in all gears except the 5th one. In 5th, it it might not be noticeable due to wind.I had given it to service recently. He solved all the problems except this. Regarding this, he said it exists in all RTRs. But i don't believe it. So how can i fix it guys? Also mine has max vibrations in 1st gear and decreases as gears are increased. Is that normal?

                                Hi Guys, I need a small help. My bike RTR 160 (Hyper Edge) has done 9500Kms. But I could hear some vibrating noise when on high rpms. I thought that this noise would be coming from a loose nut bolt on the head, but all the bolts were tight. I still can not figure out from where this vibrating noise is coming. Even when I am wearing the helmet, i am able to listen this noise. Yesterday I started the bike and tried to figure out the noise. I heard some noise was coming from the engine but it was different from the noise which I was listening before while driving.
                                Secondly, do anyone know a good mechanic specially for TVS in Gurgaon.
