You were getting 60. Well then maybe you were running lean. So probably they must have did some AFR tuning during servicing. 54 is kind of ok I feel. Check for tire pressures. Have they changed the oil? If its time to drain, please drain it. Also change the petrol bunk and put from somewhere you trust. I get different mileages for the same amount of petrol and somewhat same riding style when I put from different bunks. Lately I changed the petrol bunk I usually put, as I always get less mileage no matter how sanely I ride.Originally posted by VinayakVerma View PostHi Friends
I own A150 and had run around 45K KM. Two months back i had serviced my bike that included carb cleaning . Now after that my bike average is reduced from 60 to 54 . What may be the reason ?---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I believe its tuning issue. Also do the carb & air-filter cleaning.Originally posted by VinayakVerma View Postthanks for help . Can you pls tell me wat is running lean how was i able to get 60 ? . I have changed the engine oil at that time and my Petrol Bunk is also same and i check air pressure after every 2 days as i travel around 40 kms per day.
If you haven't changed spark plugs for more than 15k change that too.
These might help.---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Urgent help needed !!!
My friends My A150 had run around 45k kms . There is a leakage near engine head . I have been told by my mechanic that bike needs new timing chain and some valve whose name i don't remember . So can you exactly tell what parts need replacement in 45k kms service apart from engine oil and oil filter ?

I would suggest first get it checked in TVS SVC. They will quote the parts & price and then cross check with the local mechanic & get it done by him. Also maybe you will get better suggestions if you post in A180 thread.Originally posted by VinayakVerma View PostMy friends My A150 had run around 45k kms . There is a leakage near engine head . Replacement tyres, engine oil for RTR 160 (and other mods)?
I ride a 2011 RTR 160, and the stock tyres have pissed me off for long enough (plus the two falls I had). I'm looking for replacement tyres (100/80-18). If someone can point to specific brand+model and approx. cost, it'd be great.
Read in a couple of threads that changing the engine oil can help in engine smoothness and gear shifts - if so, which oil, and again, approx cost?
Also list out your fav. mods and tips, I'm looking to modify the bike visually and for performance in future, really envy the range of customization that Enfield Bullet owners have access to (but not their reliability issues :P )----------

Thread Approved and Merged with existingAdvice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

jerking problems on my fi
I am facing the jerking problems for quite some time now. None of the tvs svc's can help me with it. I am fed up of taking my bike to the tvs guys now. The throttle body, injector, entire wire assembly, thermostat (engine temp reader) and regulator near the ecu has been changed.
The problem I feel is one of the sensors not working well. Engine is smooth when the climate is cool. But when engine gets heated or its sunny the bike jerks a lot. Any idea folks. Has anybody faced a similar problem.
Can anyone suggest anybody else for this problem. I have just upgraded the engine from joel. I know the engine is good.
I would really appreciate any senior members taking a ride on my bike and then give an answer.
Feel free to call me on 9663301090.
It has been crazy not to take my bike for long rides now.Everybody has their own version of TRUTH!!!!!!

You don have much choice in tyre selection. You can get 100/80-18 only tvs tyres. Else go for a 100/90-18 in mrf, ceat or dunlop. Should cost u roughly abt 2000 rs. Or other option is you change the rims into a 17 inch one. Then you have helluva choice.
With engine oil I would suggest the full synthetic one from motul. V300 double ester. Its costs around 900. But kickass oil for the bike. Bike does not get heated up. Trust me I have used it and using it still.Everybody has their own version of TRUTH!!!!!!

Get the pirelli sport demon 110 section tyre. It can be fit on the 160 without any rim modification. It costs about 3k with fitting. For more info, check the tyres thread.Originally posted by sumeshpremraj View PostI ride a 2011 RTR 160, and the stock tyres have pissed me off for long enough (plus the two falls I had). DC conversion
I've started night riding frequently, and stock lamps are a pain. To put a higher wattage bulb, ac to dc rewinding has to be done, right? I'm thinking of a 55w bulb.
I stay in Bangalore, please let me know where you got it done, how much it cost and any reliability issues.----------
