Well, a few people have already discovered the "power-loss" problem; it looks like if the bike is parked in a hot place for a few hours and then ridden, it feels as if its ability to pull has reduced.

Yes i have also noticed this problem in my Refresh.
Today i drove the Fi, my friend is going to buy it the bike was very viby even more than my RTR, even the fit and finish of that bike was very poor sound from here and there. Is there a problem due to test vehicle or the Fi is like that. Power was noticeably more than the carb and even more peaky, i felt the bike could easily wheelie in 2 nd gear.

well its a new engine it'll be heatin more so dont worry....
the smell is of new paint heating...

the engine has it's noices and it makes lotta tappet noice too so dont worry in tht dude....

the FI has lot less vibes compared to the RTR....and the fit and finish is too top notch....

may be the test vehicle is abused too much.....

Agree.....1st lot bikes has lot of issues......2nd lots did'nt!

Mine is from 1st lot! Btw all this things happens only during service!

Damn the runin

Went to secbad station to pick up my dad this morning....train was early(surprising) and i had to be there fast....i was'nt crossing 58-60kmph....but at one strech near keys high school i had to rip a bit to over take an idiotic taxi.....downshifted to thrid and opened the throttle.....it was sluggish till abt 6.5k rpm and after tht it was pulling madly

dont know wat wonders sanjay and arun at kiran TVS did....but bike is keka now.......grrrr.....waiting for the 800kms to over soon

Any one here install R15 all metal foot pegs in his RTR? If yes how is that, is that direct fit? What is the price for the both front and rear one?

Which paint is heating? I thought the burning smell in new bikes is mostly due to engine oil, thats why they recommend to change it very soon!

It might also be because of the newly coated teflon heating.

i'm trying for it for last one month i asked guys here but no one has done it....
nobody in my frnds has the R15 so cant try to see weather it fits or not....

by the way remove the rubber from the rear pegs to make it all aluminium one....

engine paint.....
the cluth seem to give out it smell too....

Run it in for 2000 KMs at least. strictly no ripping. think that you are riding a Luna or even better - a Mofa. and then again, no revving to the redline in the first three gears... see how well your bike performs later on.

I really don't know how you can go through the painful period that is run-in on an RTR... again !!! its the hardest part of owning of this bike !

Your 3rd time I suppose right ?

due to the engine internals replacement... in this case it is the crank set.
