Hold the tyre with both the hand one on each end and try tilting it....if you feel there is a ply then the bearings are busted!Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostHow do you find out if the wheel bearings are busted? I'm getting a doubt on my TVS bike's bearings too now!
@apar..
The aligment is proper anna...i think the bugger who fitted the tyre screwed up all this.....all this started happening after i got my tyres changedLast edited by onlinesatish; 09-23-2009, 06:49 PM.07 HH Zma

Hi Guys
I am Facing problem with front Tyre.
My front tyre wobble on catching some speed
I realize it on plane roads
Service center person said its bcoz of more air in front Tyre(well that was rectified)
Then he also did some handle work.
but still problem is there
My friends say its circumferencially out..
So i should do wheel balancing
any solutions on it............
and also tell me why the problem evolved in my bike(is it because of riding it on high speed, I don't do stunts)

for comparisons post in the what bike section , anything particular about rtr/fi ask here .Originally posted by kezman View Postguys...
why am i being ignored????

regarding ur query - acceleration , Braking ,mileage ,handling . all are better in RTR fi . gsr is a more commuter type bike while the RTR is more sportier . Gsr also has more comfortable seating while RTr has a sportier one . the GSr has a smoother engine while RTR has a not so smooth one with Vibes at 4-5.5 Krpm . If u buy the GSr do check for rusting issues as some owners have reported rusting in various parts .The Vibes in The Fi version are lesser than The carb one
Do try to get TD's from some friends .

anyone???Originally posted by razorBlades View Postguys, what is that electronic device that they use in the service center to tune the engine? (i guess it shows the rpm)
i usually tune my engine four and half rotations from the closed screw.. he said, since the bike ages in time, he had to use it! any idea what it is?

yeah man! that guys is a loot!Originally posted by julianpaul View PostRazor, the metro dude has made quite a reputation of being a rip off, best avoid him in the future. He's got a decent range but is it worth his shit?A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.
Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.

Ive read a lot of this thread, but cant seem to find anything about how good/bad is the servicing that TVS offers for the 180. Can anybody help me out with that? It'd be even better if it was someone from Pune.
Going to be booking my 180 this weekend. xbhp helped me reach the decision to get the RTR, so thanks everyone who posted on this thread! And on the FZ thread. AND on the GS150R thread.

my ques exactly...........Originally posted by rachitkohli View Postare you showing the tyres or the background

the new 220's tyre compound is the one to go for....Originally posted by julianpaul View PostAs Apar and Renny mentioned in the ZMR thread, the bike has the same 100/90-18 but in tubeless. However, if it is the same zapper-y, no matter how good the compound, it is a crappy tread pattern and is a very bad choice for a lightweight and nimble bike like the rtr.
now i'll go to the showroom to get the price of the 180's rear rim....The Magician"

the svc manager told me 4.5k based on the fi's rim assuming the 180's would cost the same.Originally posted by rennycornelius View Postthe new 220's tyre compound is the one to go for....

i'm actually thinking of either the zapper-c 3", zapper-q 100/90 or geo-cruiser 100/90 to keep the 18". only prob with the geo is that the cbz, for which it was originally designed, had a really wide spoked rim. all the alloy rims seem narrower which leads to the geo being squeezed into a narrower, curved profile. experienced this after fitting zma alloys to the cbz.

trust me...u'll miss the true fun of RTR even if you go a little bit higher in profile like me.
Rode a RTR with stock tyre yesterday and now am cursing why did i go for a Higher profile. but hey i has made the gearing taller
now i get 70kmph at 5k rpm
