My bike has this squeaky sound when applying the front brakes, and then theres this thud thud sound from the forks when riding thru potholes. Had been to service center twice for the same issue. They seem to be unable to fix this. They said they did a front brake overhaul and billed me Rs.250!! (no parts changed!) The bike has done about 12.5k kms.
does anyone have similar issues?Acta non verba

Open the tyre and clean the pads, before doing this try high pressure water spray at the pads while rotating the tyre.Originally posted by Trigger View PostMy bike has this squeaky sound when applying the front brakes, and then theres this thud thud sound from the forks when riding thru potholes. yup, cleaning the brake pads and tightening the cone has fixed these same issues in the past. i am assuming that since they did a front brake overhaul just to stop the squeaks, they must have atleast cleaned the brake pads. this is really bad service.Originally posted by rennycornelius View PostOpen the tyre and clean the pads, before doing this try high pressure water spray at the pads while rotating the tyre.

i want to know if these are regular issues on RTRs that have done around 12k kms?Acta non verba

Yes I apply a bit high pressure water spray while washing my bike and the brake seems to work much better and man how to understand that I need to change the fork oil???Originally posted by rennycornelius View PostOpen the tyre and clean the pads, before doing this try high pressure water spray at the pads while rotating the tyre.

i think i should force them to change the pads. i had asked to change it, but they said its looks ok. i am paying for the pads, dont know why they are not interested in changing it.Originally posted by Aparajith View PostI just had to get my brake pads changed. the cylindrical part in the chassis that connects the front end of the bike to the chassis. there is a bearing inside that. thats the cone set.Originally posted by rennycornelius View PostSir i have one question..
