85 in 5th...

Somethin's seriously wrong with the timing i think.

I changed to MOTUL today (W50, SS) after running exact 3400kms with the PETRONAS.
will stretch this one to max 2000KMS.

Hope so its not Motul 5100 (Ester). That oil is pathetic. cork lining of clutch plates simply go on melting. Any one know how to set timing chain tension in case of RTR?

Air filter is clean. I got it checked fortnight ago at a local mech.
Spark plug and fuel filter are the same from the day i bought my bike and it has run 14k kms. SVC guys are refusing to change spark plug and fuel filter even though i'm ready to pay

. They say that its not necessary unless the bike is not stalling.

Thank you very much guys for the great tips.

Now, about the carbon deposit, ROCKRZ is right. The SVC guy told me by rubbing his finger on the silencer hole and his finger was dark black colored with carbon. He said due to low quality petrol(even though i go at HP pump

)there is too much carbon deposit inside and thats why bike is lacking pick up. He said bring the bike for full service someday and i'll sort out the problem. Also he still refused to change the spark plug and said that its still in good condition(i checked it myself before going to him and it was all black

)

It is 5100....

Will stretch it for a max of 1000-1200 now..

I Used 5100 10W40 once....i found it good. Currently running on 300V. its been 8k kms now i love it. replaced the oil once at 6k kms.

Got the taillamp replaced. Horn was'nt working.....LH one has gone kaput...replaced it with a new one and i dont like its sound one bit....i liked the horn's for the 1st lot

First of all, all current bikes including RTR comes with an automatic TC adjuster, which mean it automatically adjust the chain slack when it becomes loose.
But in some case, that tensioner itself stop working and the result is loose and noisy TC. Only in that case you need to open the tesioner and check for its proper working.

Motul W50

Did total of 70kms in two days with the oil, the gearshifts are LITTLE smooth without the "blippin" effect, rest all the same.

Engine seem to be running little hot though.

4th Gear, going steady at 8000RPM, then i twist it, the needle kisses 10500, with the pull which never fails to impress me, day by day,
this pull between 8000-10500 RPM is just not there in 160 and 180 carbed.

I've never drivven something so exciting, this side of 200CC and 76 grand.

guys.. According to SVC guys, Left-side handle bar is bent and needs to replaced. they are quoting 780rs as price.
anyone know the price?

Its was around 600rs couple of months back...not sure how much it is now!
