    2. 2100/- is way too much, it costed Vinal 1400/- and he's used it for his Leh ride so he'd be the best person to give a review on that tyre. Damn! for 2100 you could have gone for the Sirac instead....
See the reason they gave is crap. I am sure am gonna push start it in the eve to take it back to the svc center and let them check the wiring.

2100 yes , when vyde (if u find it) costs 1800+ and zapper c 1900 ; and no front tyre/rear tyre available since june (or maybe even before that)

I was quoted Rs 1400 for that tyre. Review, not bad - not great.

Rs 2100 is the range of imported tyres.
yaar scene in pune is bad. I had to fix a zapper fs (fz 16 tyre) at the front because I could not find the 220 tyre anywhere.

@abhijeet : yeah man , I am almost certain his jugaad is not going to work.

If iam not wrong the whole wiring costs somewhere around 1200-1300rs.

IRC is not available in pune. buying from bombay will increase the cost.

There was a 120/90-17 pirelli tubeless also available for 2500. What could be the side effects for using a tyre with more height?

Side-effects are, increased mileage, reduced vibrations, better cruising ability. Quite like what I am experiencing with the Sirac.

But then the final profile formed will vary depending on the rim width for which the tyre is designed. Any links/images to the tyre?

There would definitely be a small drop in acceleration, but you would still be faster than most of the other traffic around a better way of putting it is that only another 220 can be faster than you!

But go for this only if you're riding is more than 50% on highways, if you ride in the city more then its better to have the stock gearing, taller gearing is no fun in the city!

                    • Hi all ,

i am using a 220 Fi since Aug 2007 , IT was running fine for me ,but from last few weeks i am facing with a problem ,which i cannot get a solution from the PBK service center too .

Most of us who took the bike in 2007 had a problem till first service that the bike gets stopped in signals & all and does not start even after continuously cranking the starter , Then we had to wait for few seconds , then swithc of engine kill switch ,then retry cranking in neutral gear & finally it starts

The problem i am facing is the above situation from last few days , i have changed the Petrol pump , Filled the byk almost full tank ,but still no use . It gets stopped even if the engine is hot too . After that it refuses to start ,then i have to switch of the engine kill , the key , put the bike in neutral , then reverse the procedure . Also the RPM @ idle is above 1500 as before but this problem has been an headache for me 4 last few days .

During this time the bike feels like gasping for air

                      Please help me guys

                      Thanks in advance

                      • ^^^ check the starter relay pbk were replacing the old plastic ones with metal ones also check the declutch switch for the staring problems. for the stuttering get the fuel filter checked to see if it is clogged and get the co% set.

                        • My bike's front tyre is loosing pressure. I had plugged a puncture before. But still it is loosing pressure. Not from the same spot. But can't seem to find the exact location.
                          Can anyone help?

                          • check your front rim for any bends and check the air valve for leaks

I changed my oil to Motul 20w40
I read later that 20w40 is not recommended and i should use
20w50, should i change it immediately?
                              will it cause any problems?
which oil i should go for?

My P220 DTS-Fi has crossed 2 years and 23,000 Kms.
Mileage is still 35+ kmpl under normal riding in City conditions.

Will be getting a new set of types for my bike soon.

Dont worry, make sure that the bike is not ripped. Change it when you can.
