I can't make it any simpler than this and still don't get what your confusion is

Yes, now i got it. Thanks.
I was thinking that in a FI bike everything is controlled by ECU even the amount of fuel entering the block. So, got confused.

Never got to go all out, but the best I managed was 141 with the WildFlare in the front which shows about 2-3kmph lesser than stock, so must have been about 143-144 on a stock front tyre. But I felt it could easily show about 145 on my speedo provided I weighed a few tonnes lesser and dint have my camera bag
Well i have the advantage of being lighter at 63 kgs.

Even if the chain is worn unevenly it will not move in the left-right direction to touch the tyre, it would only more in a up-down direction!
Any pointers to why the tyre is so close to the chain cover? There is very little clearance.

PS- Did u enquire about the flash mode & its operation?

Yes everything is controlled by the ECU. But still u have the feasibility to alter the ratio but not the flow of fuel.

Both P220 FI & R15 have the same FI system. Its the open loop FI. The ECU cannot alter the AFR on its own due to the absence of a few sensors like Lambda (O2) etc.
The Karizma ZMR & Kawasaki Ninja 250R come with a closed loop FI where the ECU can alter the AFR in a predefined range depending on the amount of oxygen present in the exhaust gas, which varies due to the change in environmental conditions.

So the Bottom Line is even FI bike requires manual tuning of AFR

Is the chain cover holder bent? There is a spacer nut along the axle, is that worn out.

The Tyre running closer to the swingarm/chain cover only points two things :-
                1. Either the swingarm/cover itself is bent.
                2. Or something along the axle of the wheel has got worn out.

For any of the above stuff you should feel a difference between left/right cornering.

I've been more or less off the bike and thus away from PBk. Will check bout the Flash thingie if I remember when I'm there next!

The side panel wasnt locked. It was just fit into the hole. U can put a clamp for locking the side panel. I was actually running the bike without both side covers & trust me it was looking killer.

hey did u change the AFR if yes how much ?????? and i dont have a clamp for the k&n filter as in the fastener which seals the filter to the carb my friend missplaced it so wat do i do can i get another one ?? also is it easy to remove the airbox ???

                  • bad news

yesterday met with a nasty road accident....

a a@#hole indica driver was coming speeding from the wrong side and a auto driver was behind him...

i was on my normal route and speed was about 60-65 as there was traffic on the raod...

suddenly i saw the indica AND i tried to dodge by manuvering and was succesful in dodging it but WHHAATT a silly auto driver was trying to overtake him while they were on the wrong lane .....and........BOOOOM....

it surely was not painful physically for me as i was properly geared with my helmet jacket and stuff....

but my ride took some major damage.....

whole fairing is bent now.... nothing happened to headlights but some scratches...

nothing wrong with the handle or forks....

                    went pbk immediately...

they said i have to change the fairing as well as the headlight assembly....

so my question is that if my headlight is not damaged and working properly
                    why should i change it...

and how much will these 2 costs?
and the procedure for insurance claim....

                    will upload pic soon....

Yeah it does.. But rarely. Even in the worst state of tune it can perform pretty good..

The axle is pretty good in condition. Greased a few days back.
Coming to swingarm, 3 weeks back had a crash to the left. But it wasnt that severe that swingarm would be damaged. There is no difference in cornering. The difference is, that time i had my bald IRC, now i have Sirac. However the chain adjuster got a few scrapes at the end.
I can clearly see that the clearance from swingarm is unequal on both sides. But alignment is perfect. Tried braking hard using rear brakes by leaving the handle & the bike stops perfectly in a straight line.

The spacer nut? The one through which the axle fits on the swingarm right? I dont think they ever wear.

                        Quick question:
Is your swingarm straight or slightly curved? Inspect it with high precision. Mine is curved.
Tried little geometry i dont find any damage/bend on the swingarm.

Fairing of 220 FI costs around 1600 change. Headlight costs around 3800 change.

You can buy that locking thing at any automobile shop. Just ask for a intake hose lock.
Yes its easy to remove the air box. You need to open the RH side rearset panel. Remove the battery. Remove the intake hose & a few other pipes connected to air box & pull it out slowly.

I don't have my bike with me for a long time now! Once I get it back I will have a look and let you.

Is the tyre sitting properly on the alloy? Could be a uneven fit on the wheel. I'm 100% sure my tyre never touched anywhere along the chain cover/swingarm.

Its hard to tell from photo itself. But, if the headlight is working fine and is hold in its position, there is no need for changing it.
