Hey Guys,
Been out of touch from this thread for quite a long time. A bit of update from my end. My Bike is just 29,190 kms old. The cylinder kit was changed last Sunday. The Kirti Nagar PBK said that there were scoring marks on the piston. Now am very disappointed. Within 30000 kms my cylinder kit had to be changed !!! My loyalty towards Bajaj has started to dwindle now.
Now either the product is not upto the mark or the PBKs. Those who know me that I have never ignored bike's needs ever. It has been serviced properly & at regular intervals. The oil level was always kept in check but still. Anyways, I just needed a suggestion from you guys. After the 500 kms (I have to go through the painful process of running in once again) I will be shifting to Motul 5100. It's a semi synthetic compound. Now it comes in 1 ltr pack only. What if I run my bike on 1 ltr of Motul 5100??
Now Some details about the last service

A few details on the cost, availability & performance of the tyre & air filter would be appreciated.
I would not suggest you to run on 1 litre of oil for long. U can run for some distance, say about 100kms max in low revs. This is only to avoid the engine wear. I myself ran for over 2k kms with 1 litre of 300v.Originally posted by rx100.7050 View PostHey Guys,

PS- What made you or pbk suspect the bore&piston? Why was it opened? Iam asking this specifically because i suspect even mine has gone for a toss.Biking is not my Passion, it is my Religion!

you really having some bad time after every 5000-7000kms...You've been doing all the things to keep you bike fit and healthy but somethings even you cannot control and thats what happening. I cannot tell you about the cylinder and piston problems but this must have been done under warranty?? And one more suggestion, take out your speedo cable and look out for any other major problems for around 1000km, so it might fit in less than 30000kms i.e. warrantyOriginally posted by rx100.7050 View PostHey Guys,

About engine oil, 5100 is good enough for our bikes. When I used it for first time, even I used 1L of oil + 100ml is already there in the engine and remaining I used the drained oil and I dint feel anything bad(in terms of smoothness, power, etc)
My silencer have gone kaput. The exhaustec is gone..making some weird noise as if some screws are vibrating...only solution: NEW SILENCER...I guess its the time to call the insurance agent
I've done 30300kms and no major problem struck to my babe as of now(finger crossed)its all about CC...

Thanks man! I will be purchasing another Motul can. Insurance things are also done at Suman Bajaj. Guess it's far better than Karol Bagh PBK. From now onwards, only Motul 5100Originally posted by rohitmundra View Postyou really having some bad time after every 5000-7000kms...You've been doing all the things to keep you bike fit and healthy but somethings even you cannot control and thats what happening. Hey man! Thanks. Will be purchasing another Motul can. Now, typical problem faced by me was Eng oil consumption. Was keeping a strict check on it. At higher revs it would give out little bit of smoke. So check it out & if it's similar with your case too, take it to PBK ASAPOriginally posted by rahul9985 View PostThey both look great!
