'132 kph' is way too good...What more do you want...?....Achieving anything above 125-130 depends on a lot more than the bike itself...e.g. the rider, the way the bike's been launched, air drag, temperature, friction etc etc...be contended with what you've got....btw guys need an expert opinion on the problem mentioned 5 posts back...the mechanics at the meerut pbk are all RETARDS...can't let them ruin my bike

and get the sensor cleaned... or if u can locate the sensor clean it with a cotton ear bud or swab... dipped in petrol preferably(very little)..mine's been blinking since 200 kms now.. no time to head to PBK..
        Ok!
Can you tell me where the sensor might be?

Any clues? Cleaned the foam. But the icon is still there.
Sensor is dirty! Get it cleaned at PBK!

          132 is a decent speed! Don't worry.

Top speed is dependent on a lot of variables, getting them right at the same time is kindda difficult!

And number of kms clocked doesn't really matter, my bike when it had done about 47K still managed to hit a speedo indicated 141 (would have been 143 if I was on stock front tyre!)...So like I said topspeed a game of too many variables. As long as its able to do 130+ its fine!

get down on ur knees on the ride side of the box.. when u open the side panel , and the foam from the filter, the sensor is on the right corner... as i remember...recommended to get it done at Pbk... its inaccessible...hands(fingers) dont go inside for the cleaning job...

Like I said before topspeed is affected by way too many variable to accurately pin point and say there is one thing that could be checked to improve topspeed.

You can see the state of tune of the bike and get it tune accordingly.

                Anything above 130 is decent!

                        • 3 rd Service

i took my 220 Fi for the 3 rd free service to PBK Vizag. i didnt understand the following things:

                          1. The mech removed the RH side engine cover and dismantled the clutch bell & assy
completely. (no problem with the clutch) re-fitted it again immediately after inspecting
something in the engine. there is no answer when i asked him why he remover the clutch
                          assy.

                          2. when he checked for the CO, (because i am thinking that the bike is running very lean. i
felt like that) it showed 4.50 so as said here, i asked him to set it to 2.50,
even leaner by 2.0 ?? and i still feel that the bike is running lean. its actually
struggling to pick up speed especially during rollons. definitely the acceleration has gone
                          down.

can somebody shed some light on this?

What makes you 'feel' that the bike is running lean?

Open up the plugs and read them for an actual state of tune.

Check air/fuel filters for clogging and see if the chain slack is correct and lubed enough!

The 220's characteristic rush of raw power when opened the throttle is not there....its gone after the 2nd free service. i feel that is giving some 70% of its true potential. now the 3 rd service was done 4 days ago, so the question of air & Fuel filter clogging does not arise, moreover, the fuel filter was changed during the service. BTW the bike is running on NGK Iridium sparks since zero KM on the odo. for the chain, i'm using Motul chain lube & cleaner (regularly lubed for every 500 km ).

i'm sure...the prob is lying within the Fi system (CO setting)

                              • A small update from me . Completed 30,000 kms today. Went to Okhla PBK as I was experiencing a slow response in low RPM. It felt like it was missing ignition kind of. They emptied the tank & cleared water too. Water had seeped in. But still not completely ok as Manohar (the adviser) said they will change the sensor near the throttle body. Under warranty.

Also on 13th most prob my babe will be getting V day gift
new headlight, new fairing, new fairing bracket. Need to contact the insurance guy
