    Its cheap, some 1.6K for the bore piston kit. And its the Dts-i's graphite coated piston kit. I feel it makes a tad more power, but it could be a psychosomatic feeling too

    I had replaced my bore piston-kit at 69K kms because it was drinking a lot of oil. This issue was introduced when I got the decarb done at 30K kms. Not all bikes will need a bore-piston kit replacement so soon.

        Finally got my engine oil changed today from Castrol (read as crap-trol worst oil for 220) to Motul 5100 (semi synthetic) the effect was immidiate.....bike became more rev friendly......engine vibes disappeared even on high rpms close to 9k ....odo reading on my bike is around 38k but it feels like new...love riding my bike now

            Projector is already present in 220F i beleive. just the HID.

            HID comes in different price from 1000rs to 8000rs+
            Projector also has different prices ranging from 2800rs to ...




            Praful, I think my bike has started giving issues once again! btw, its nearing at its golden anniversary i.e. 50k kms!

            This time I fear it is the bore piston kit. It is drinking oil like mad! low power (over all) Strangest of noises (metal rubbing against metal) coming off the bike including the vibes! light white smoke coming off the exhaust.

            I rushed to PBK today after this began to occur. There I was informed, that it was advisable to change the bore piston kit immediately and do a over haul. upon querring, I was told I can ride it for 3-4k kms max after which it can fall dead any time!

            Sadly my unlimited kms warranty also ended on Feb 2012

            What to do? Should I go for Race concepts, as I am bit skeptical about modifications to a stock machine after what my actions did to my RTR?

                I cannot comment on the race concepts product as I have personally never used it. And I don't know anyone who has closed more 20-30K kms on that bore to reliably give a accurate picture on the reliability factor.

                I would advise you to replace your bore-piston kit immediately, as it can lead to further damage to crank, etc if not taken care of right away.

                The new bore piston kit should be about 1.6-1.8K and is better than what the original bike came with.

                  i searched for the Fi's Bore with Graphite coated piston today , but it was not available , The piston was of Normal only ! even the Block piston Kit which was packed on march '12 , i went to 2 bajaj Service center and saw , the normal one was only there , Any idea where to get ?

                    Yes boss the graphite coated ones are the "normal" ones now! Earlier it was a dts-i only offering.

                          Go for the Cosworth one, with the cold air intake. It is the same as RC-1060/1100 only cheaper and better. BA-2201 ha little to no effect on performance. The thing to remember however is that you will need to get the upjetting done after this mod. More details here:

                              You need to check the product catalog my friend , The CAI is exclusive to P220s

                                Your link had a review to just the filter so its natural to assume what I assumed!

                                But I checked this ( http://india.cosworth.com/products/p...takes-(india)/) and I cannot see anything for bikes there!

                                All their website speaks about is air filters --> http://india.cosworth.com/products/p...lters-(india)/


                                Now, if you have some other non-public information well then don't blame me for pointing out 'No CAI'!
