Its possible. Not that complicated, just will cost a lot. Will have to chuck the ECU and put a carb, the CDI will need to changed. This is what all I can remember at the top off my head! There would be more stuff too.Originally posted by Ivin View PostI dont think thats possible. Even if it is, its one hell of a job... FI is controlled by an ECU, but carb aint...
But even then it will not be perform as good as the Dts-i!_________________________

^^^ can be done! Here is what will need to be done (off hand):
Replace:
1. Fuel tank (the fuel pump will have to go).
2. ECU with CDI.
3. Throttle body with carb.
4. Cylinder (maybe, due to the size and shape of the intake manifold. I have not examined both the cylinder blocks so don't really know if it will be required).
5. Disconnect the sensors.
6. Wiring loom (maybe).
7. Air box (maybe).
In short the effort may just not be worth it.Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.

guys m having some problem with my pulsar 220 fi from few days...
My bike gets lag in acceleration between 5-6.5k RPM...
having this setup from last 1.5 year:
CO setting 3.0,it was suggested by pbk service center for air filter upgrade..
K&N air filter is setup on directly on air intake of FI with sensor which settles on top of air intake pipe box removed...NGK Ir as well as high performance ignition cable..
bike has done 23k KM
oil change was done 2 months back
getting mileage of 35kmpl in city..
...don't knw exactly suddenly where this problem came from..what are the possibilities which are causing lag in acceleration??

Have put the steel braided brake hose for front disc, bite is too good now.
costs around 995.
Usually my odo shows 89KMPH at 6K RPM in 5th gear, recently noticed a drop it shows 86KMPH. what the cause could be? 48K run and still on stock clutch plate. didn't feel any lag in acceleration so far._________________________________________________

Check your CO tuning now, could have changed. Also when was your fuel filter replaced the last time?Originally posted by Dreamwalker987 View Postgetting mileage of 35kmpl in city..

I'm now looking at what parts from the Duke I can cannibalize onto my bike *evil grin* ... looking at the steel braided hose for the rear!Originally posted by yuv_biKING View PostHave put the steel braided brake hose for front disc, bite is too good now.

For the drop there could two reason, worn out tyre or worn out clutch plates. I think its clutch plates, you are still running on stock plates at 48K kms

... I change mine almost every 20-25K kms!

Rear tyre skids
Hi guys,
I have an 8 month old 220F with MRF Zapper tyres.
For sometime, I have been experiencing skidding of the rear tyre when braking.
I was ignoring it, but today I had a really close call.
1) Is this the rear tyre's or the rear brake's fault?
2) I had the rear brake "tightened" quite some time back, as I felt is
was very weak.
Should I make it "loose" again?
3) Should I get my rear tyre replaced?
If yes, please suggest a tyre with a good grip.
If possible, please suggest a good tyre shop in Pune.
As the monsoon will soon be approaching, I do not want to take any chances.
Thanks in advance. If you don't look back when you park and walk away, you bought the wrong bike.

PBK guys do have some tricks up their sleeve we do not know about. I had got mine tightened back in the day when the bike was *almost* new. Even a change of brake caliper (under warranty) didn't have any change, whatever they do, they do it well enough.Originally posted by rx100.7050 View PostHow did you got it tightened?? Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Thanks for the quick reply.Originally posted by rx100.7050 View PostHow did you got it tightened?? More brake fluid??
No, not more brake fluid. He tightened some screw near the brake pedal.
Sorry, I do not know anymore as this is my first bike and I am not familiar with the nitty gritty details of motorcycles.
So, coming to my main question,
Is this the brake's or the tyre's fault?
Does any one else face this problem? If you don't look back when you park and walk away, you bought the wrong bike.

Also, some info specific to the Pune-Bangalore-Pune route(which I'll be taking),for eg. road conditions, places to stop, good places for getting the proofs, the turn-around point etc.
Any insight is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
