Is it a free flow exhaust? dude, you have to change the engine packing immediately. and nothing to worry
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the seat.

    • @ajinkya: you might want to check the threadings on all the nuts holding the crank case. Yours is first batch 220 IIRC?

      • Has anyone here gotten their bent alloys "fixed"?

I have an extremely minor bend in my front alloy, loosing about 1 psi per day. Contemplating hitting it with a wooden hammer to see if it holds.

Similar thing had happened to me a few years back. No amount of hammering solved the problem. Since my tyre was loosing pressure at an alarming rate, it was claimed under insurance.

BTDT with insurance, for both the alloys once. Since this bend is minor was thinking of playing around in order to fix it.

hey man how come FI pump / malfunctioning light in the new dts-i meter ?

                            • engine , swing-arm, rear shock, fork tube and calipers(I have alsopainted the footrust panel to black- dont do it) ---- All these parts - From silver to black costed under 3k... Its photo finish at the bajaj showroom ... No pbk showroom here , only 400kms away , at B'lore or T'vandrum.... If you are doing this job , i recommend to paint the engine from the company itself as they will have better knowledge... Have you noticed that the new p220 dtsi has a problem of alloy painting peeling off a little and silver visible under it... I noticed it in more than a dozen vehicles.....

Man the meter is old,,, just changes the outline to the new grey one....
First take the meter off from the bike,, Unscrew it (5 screws i guess.,forgot).... You can see 5 more screws there which connects only the layout,,, the gray thing... Dts-Fi had black and later white dials.... Go to Bajaj showroom or used parts selling shop.. They will have a new p220's meter... Buy it.(I bought a damaged one since I need only the dial and that too for Rs.200)...
Go and put the dial in the old meter... Mission completed.... If you have any friends in Bajaj showrooms,, ask them if they have a new p220's meter(damaged)... They will definitely have it.... The dial will not be damaged even if the LCD and outer cover is ..... Thats the way... Its a simple job....
