Na Praful. Only initial riding of 1 mnt or so after a very long break, say 3-4 hours of break. Once in motion, no issues at all & throttle response is good.

This is the EXACT problem which i was facing frequently with my bike when i give full throttle with the cold engine the throttle response is not at all linear and perfect the engine coughs up to some distance but after that no problems at all what might be the problem?Originally posted by Praful View PostI still dint get your prob clearly bhai. and also after each time of refuelling the fuel some times the bike behaves very sluggish and some times very smooth and powerfull
.Is this the common psychotic behaviour of 220FI?

Missing or cough-up problem happened with me too. The fuel pump was replaced, they cleaned it but I forced them on POLITICAL (I know this NETAji) front to replace it, out of warranty period, free of cost.Originally posted by truelypulsarian View PostThis is the EXACT problem which i was facing frequently with my bike when i give full throttle with the cold engine the throttle response is not at all linear and perfect the engine coughs up to some distance but after that no problems at all what might be the problem?

But the problem is entirely different in my bikes case after a gap of 3-4 hrs or when the engine is cold if i twist the throttle completely the engine coughs but this coughing of engine is only up to a very short distance after that the bike is very much normalOriginally posted by abhichotu.abhi View PostYes! The bike did'nt go even a 100rpm more above 3K. You could predict How I would have ridden the beast for 100kms in the same situation in city.

Then, it might be the ignition coil or spark plug issue. Or may be a clogged fuel filter. A few members here on this thread have faced this issue due to clogged fuel filter. Check all this and then revert back.Originally posted by truelypulsarian View PostBut the problem is entirely different in my bikes case after a gap of 3-4 hrs or when the engine is cold if i twist the throttle completely the engine coughs but this coughing of engine is only up to a very short distance after that the bike is very much normal

yea thats coz its not yet warmed up. This should not happen on a warm engine. If it happens on a warm engine then you have a problemOriginally posted by truelypulsarian View PostBut the problem is entirely different in my bikes case after a gap of 3-4 hrs or when the engine is cold if i twist the throttle completely the engine coughs but this coughing of engine is only up to a very short distance after that the bike is very much normal

And yeah psycho behaviour is common.. Its a Pulsar... if it doesnt behave like a gf then its not a Pulsar
Visually there is no way. As a thumbrule change it every 5K kms.Originally posted by truelypulsarian View PostHow can i know that the fuel filter is clogged by visual inspection??_________________________
