My 220 is FI and its CO2 settings is all messed up. The engine stalls suddenly all the time. I can see smoke comin outta the gear box. The oil coolin dosent work and makes a lotta noise. Theres a bajaj service centre at Airoli but they don have the digital instruments to chk the CO2 and they dont have fuel filters either.

How does Bajaj expect people from New Bombay to buy the 220's if they don have a single probiking service center in the twin city. I have been to Shreeram Ghatkopar but their centre is swamped with bikes and they don give back the bikes for a couple of days. Any idea abt any probiking centres in New Bombay??????

I m not sure if its a problem with the neutral light switch.. the last time the mechanic solved the problem for good.. it was gone for at least three or four months.. he had opened up the aluminum cover housing the coil.. just near the gear shift.. and had fiddled around a bit for max 5 mins.. and replaced the cover.. dunno wot he did though...
it may not be a problem with the neutral light switch. if i were u, i would get the engine casing removed, again, go to the place where the neutral light indication wire enters the casing, and sort problems from there. the last thing is the switch. also get the switch cleaned once. probably ur mech messed it up.

smoke out of the gear box ? hmm, that could mean a leaky engine casing. the gear box heats up and thus the smoke. engine stalling is purely the cause of a badly tuned co% . lodge a complaint.hit the higher authorities hard. take matters seriously. then come back and tell us . we would love to hear then on. oil cooler doesnt work? how did u find out that?

Thanks.. the prob was with the neutral light switch.. it was changed 2 days back.. and i guess the prob is fixed for good.. all these time they were not replacing the switch, but actually just cleaning it.. so the prb used to go away.. but then after a few days recur....

bloody shit.. for a 35 bucks part, they made me visit 5 to 6 times.. waste of time..

        as usual.. bajaj

about setting co...here i go again...
i know stunner is pgmfi,so its programmable fuel injection and i guess its machine must be different than ours....and frankly i dont know about HH fi bike so i wont speak about it.so now we are left with apache and r15's...i know they are open loop fuelinjected bike like ours...butwhat i dont know is is it compatible for our bike(the co machine or anything that they uses to map fuel or set AFR)????
well i havent been to their svc's so i dont know about thatanybody who knows about that please reply

R15 is closed loop buddy, no idea about RTR.
ZMR comes with the legendary PGM-Fi from Honda, though I doubt anyone has tried to tune it yet.

Correction: R15 has a open loop FI system. Closed loop FI are the ones that have a O2(Oxygen) sensor. R15 doesn't have one and hence is open loop.
RTR too has a open-loop FI.

                  • I don't think it is possible to adjust CO level with just any tool. As an Fi system works on the basis of sensors & ECU, has to be tuned by a computer.

Err what did you do to your bike?

My bike still is running with the original parts you have mentioned after 62K kms.

Was there some problem with your bike?

Acutely there is a different Uneven lines into bore & also have some on Piston.
Gear shifter & balancer wheel having small small cuts. so thats why Pbk recommended me to change that part's also have some extra play in balancer wheel.

Stock bore piston kit. Only thing changed were the piston rings!
