I'm not happy with the Stock.
It is good only in good tarmac.
In broken tarmac & Wet conditions it is very bad.
So we don have any other tires which are better??
Like the R15 or the FZ16 front fitments, The IRC Wild Flare.
Please comment in comparison to the Stock so that I can take a decision.sigpic

As far as I know, the R15 tyre would be a good choice, however the thinness of that tyre might become an issue.... atleast the looks. The FZ tyre is a bit fat... and might hamper the dynamics of the bike. The Wild flare is a good tyre.... get it if you find a dealer who has it in stock.Originally posted by Prabhakar View PostI'm not happy with the Stock.

I don mind the Looks.
I'm least bothered about it.
Only the straight line stability & grip in wet & sand.
My Cornering is minimal.
I scraped my stand 2 or 3 times till now.
That too just tried to test the limits of the Bike.
Else I never even try to lean - Very Lazy U know.sigpic

You can go for the R15 or FZ front tyre, both of them will offer excellent straight line stability in wet and sand as both of them are pretty soft compound and wont hamper the bike dynamics to a large extent.Originally posted by Prabhakar View PostI don mind the Looks.

I have been using it from the past 7000kms now and it provides really nice grip on both dry and wet surface. Its better than the stock anyday be it cornering or striaght line. Braking has also improved which is a added bonus.sigpic

Safety Tip:Originally posted by Prabhakar View Post^ & ^^
Thanks for the Advice!
Will try tomorrow morning to get it.
I'm on a very Long Ride - IBA Run.
Please provide me some help me with some inputs on this.

Make sure you dont try to check its limits in the initial 100-200kms. Let it become a bit rough and then exploit its potential.
Best of Luck for your Trip

Do not trust pbk
Hi Guys,
Posted earlier about few problems which I have been facing recently. There was some buzzing noise coming out of my engine which has now been rectified. Bike was getting stalled in low rpm quite few times which has also been rectified. there was some starting problem too which has been addressed. But the bike is not responding as it should. It feels like it has become 180 & not 220. Since my piston has been changed, I am not ripping the bike. When Praful & others came to Delhi, Praful rode my 220 & he also agreed that there was definitely less response than ideally it should. He asked me to get the spark plug changed as it's been more than 10,000 kms since I got it changed. My bike has done 21,000 + kms. PBK people are asking me to bring my bike to them but I have no faith left in them.
My question is to what extent will an old stock spark plug have adverse affect on performance of a 220. Will changing the spark plug have any positive affect on it's performance? In low RPM it feels like the bike is struggling to accelerate.
Any view on this?"HASTA LA VICTORIA, SIEMPRE !" - Chesigpic

you have two options...Either use SAE90 grade oil(castrol) rs.80 that is available at most of the automobile shopsOriginally posted by Prongs View PostHello everyone..postin after a lt of tym...i ve movd to delhi bt ma bike is back at muzaffarnagar...

OR
you can go for OKS451 chain spray..remember to purchase OKS451 only..its for O ring. In delhi, you may get at bhikaji cama place(near hyatt hotel) contact Mr.Premnath---9810138785
MRP is rs.370 but bargain, he will give for 300-320
its all about CC...

Pls don lose hope on anything...without PBK where would we go ?
see when u buy a new bike it is already finely tuned by factory...the engines undergo a small yet strict run in.. now that u have changed ur piston its obvious that u feel a decrease in performance.. the piston needs to be seasoned... i think praful must have told u bout it...if not its ok..be patient...give ur piston more time ...if not go for a good engine overhaul... try to go for a new engine oil too..we're supposed to be putting 20w50 i guess..try going for something less than 20..give ur piston lesser resistance. take ur bike on a nice long consistent ride(giving breaks often)...dont overspeed.. u might seize the engine...My BiKe DoEsN't LeAk OiL, iT mArK's ItS TeRriToRy !

Hey man! I have strictly followed the run in. Never crossed 55. Just yesterday only I have completed 500 kms. Now I am riding at 60 only. But my bike has seriously become 150. I am into major depression yaar. They have screwed my bike. It's not that Bajaj Products are bad. Only the PBKs are pathetic. These a****les don't know anything about bike. I feel like crying man. Will be visiting PBK once again this Saturday. But I have no hope left.Originally posted by vid_powerstroke View PostPls don lose hope on anything...without PBK where would we go ?

hi i had mentioned some probs i ws havin b4:
my bike keeps going to the left(if i leave the handle) while riding..
also on the main stand the handle falls to the right (from center position)..i get an equilibrium when the handle is a little towards the left...
the handle moves freely tho..
-------
i've not really had the time to go to pro biking but i hv noticed another thing...
when i press the front brake, and CUT feelin comes from the handle(more on the right clip-on)..
