Regarding RVMs, read this thread. It has been discussed at length by some Sr. members
Thnx man !! The place where i keep the bike generally, is inclined a bit...that helps the water to be removed easily after washing.. i guess thats why the fuel indicator was showing absurd fuel levels..

Btw, which rear tyre did you get?

Its time for some Lavassa action

why do u not want the fx with the sirac ?? i remember somebdy mentioned in earlier posts(maybe u) that he wanted incresed grip to support the sirac at the rear..hw does the reduced staight-line contact patch hamper the handling ??

and what tyre pressure do u keep for the sirac ??

          • Query Merged.

@Ashvin: Since you haven't mentioned which version of P220 you have, I am assuming you are talking about the Fi, and hence your query is being merged in this thread.

wtf! your silencer broke into 2 pieces.. ur footpeg panels show how bad the accident was.. i hope everything is fine..
while claiming under insurance i think the silencer would also be changed..

                +1..
also u can bring out the mirrors a bit by adjusting its bolt and all.. it is providing marginal improvement to me in visibility. but more RVM vibrations.
the best is to turn the head back and see..

why do u think Shell Super fuel would cause trouble?
i get better results with Shell Unleaded..
changing to Motul 300V now would be a good choice.

although the question is not for me, the zapper-fx from FZ would be more curvy on our smaller or narrower rims. so the straight line contact patch would decrease resulting in decreased grip but would provide awesome cornering grip.

                • Just came back from the battery shop.... after fitting a new Amaron 9Ah battery for Rs. 1350, in exchange to my old stock battery which went weak almost 2 months back due to poor-maintenance (by me and PBKs). The new battery looks good (read works good ). It was pre-charged from the company (manufactured in August 2009).... I fitted it myself (I dont let anybody touch my bike ), switched on the bike... and hurray... no battery indicator blinking even when headlight is on (while bike is off), and sudden cranks.... no indications of any change.... everything feels good as of now. The battery came with a 60months warranty(30 month replacement warranty and 30 months pro-rata discount exchange warranty).... its completely sealed.... no water/acid to be put ever in the battery's lifetime.
Seems like a wise purchase.... any comments??

                  • Guys.. does the Cramster Tankbag (Turtle) fit well on P220 tanks or does it cause any problem due to the extended fairing? Please reply fast. I am gonna order by evening today.

Also what is the tyre pressure you guys keep. I recenty switched to 28-32(pillion setting) from 28-28(single rider) and have percieved loss in cornering/braking grip in the rear tyre. which i suspect led to my fall last week. Any suggestions?
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

The Cramster Turtle tank bag fits properly on the P220.... no issues due to the extended faring. The magnetic straps fit properly.... lot of ppl are using the same on their 220s.

keep 29 front .. and keep 30 rear.. it works out with me... my pillion weight go from anywhere between 55 to 85..works good for both... there should be little bulge of tires..(low pressure) ensures good traction and more tyre surface on road...

                              • if your engine malfunton light is on one or more of the sensors is not giving the readings to the ecu properly, if the revlimit/low fuel light is on then it might be something wrong with the speedo
