Vyde is almost soft compound. For me the centre line went off in 10K kms, but then I had been using that tyre to the limits (without any burnouts though ). For moderate usage the tyre will last prolly about 15K or so.

Same goes for the Sirac, its about as soft as the Sirac. I can visibly make out a drop in tread depth in the past 2K kms....

Nothing is impossible, with a little jugaad you can definitely do this. But I'm sure no one has done it before.

            • @praful : I got the 100-80 Zapper fx now , it seems too roundish and leans into the corners effortlessly.

The rpm-speeds are 4k-57 , 5k-71 , 6k-83kmph. They seem to be ok right? ( i am not sure about the 5k rpm -kmph reading earlier)

Yea, I heard that about the FX, makes the bike more flickable and gives oodles of grip whilst leaning. How much lesser is the straightline contact patch now ??

The FX just sits 1mm lower than the stock, the speedo read would not vary for that small a difference

Well, it's not so difficult actually.

The hardest part in this is finding a good HID kit. The kit I had 2 bulbs with individual electronic ballasts, with plug n play adapters. There were no cutting required for the wires. The ballasts have been mounted in the inner parts of the fairing with duct tape and waterproofing has been done.

There is no battery drainage issue. I have been using it for quite some time now.

The grip felt awesome in cornering but the straight line contact patch seems to be very very less. I would get a clear picture when I take it out on the highways but the entire handling seems to have changed now.

Hmmm, thanks for that piece of info. Now I know I don't want to go it with the Sirac running at the rear. I guess I will stick to apna 90/90 sizing till I have the same rear tyre.

Btw, which rear tyre did you get?

Its time for some Lavassa action

i told you about the handling problem. the steering veers to left side. everything seems to be fine. now i doubt the swingarm. any possible inputs like the bush wear?

You can change the fronts if you like. But for the rear do give the Zapper Vyde a shot too, they are of pretty soft compound too and the profile/tread pattern is just too much better than the Zapper C...

Swingarm bush will not wear out so soon unless you have jumping your bike of stairs and stuff. Mine is still going strong!

About handling, I think I had posted a few pages to check out a few things. Use that as a checklist and figure out one by one if everything is fine.

Pulling to one side can most prolly be cause due to the tyre beading slipping inwards for one tyre. Or a busted coneset/forks.
