If it ain't broken, don't fix it....that's the policy I've been following for my fairing till date.

    So howz the handle screwed??

The handle is turning to the right when i put the bike on center stand. So when I brake there's too much pressure on my right hand. Couldn't find anything wrong with the forks visually so kinda clueless.

        How many kms done?
Are you sure the forks are not bent considering you had a full frontal crash?

When was the last time you changed the fork oil, fork oil seals & cone set?

Done 11.5k kms. Im not sure but im not able to find any damage to the forks from a visual inspection. Fork oil and seals at 10k kms. Cone set I havn't touched.

It was only after the two falls(both on the left side) did i realize that something is wrong with the handling. But im pretty sure it wasn't after the crash. I was cornering well during the return journey. The reason im not able to pinpoint the exact cause is because the bike was handling way better with the saddle bags

Weird! But things to check would fork/alloys/tyre/cone set/handle-bars/T-stem.

I have a feeling it more a combination of a busted cone set, but that would have showed up after ur fall.

            Checked your alloys for bends?

No havn't checked the alloys. Even if they are damaged the handle shouldn't fall to one side right? I mean it would feel unstable at high speeds which is not the case here.

I too feel its a combination but can't say anything without removing the fairing. Havn't thought about the T-stem the whole time...

Atul, check the T-Bar/Stem and the cone set. If you had a crash severe enough to bend the forks or alloys, I don't think your fairing would or could have been spared.

I had no choice but to replace the fairing after the crash. That was completely gone. The crack is in the new one.

Which part exactly is this T-Bar/Stem guys?

not everytime does the bike have to feel unstable at high speeds..... it might be a major problem or a minor one too.... u says its hampering breaking....and more pressure to right... kindly get it checked and get ur wheels aligned apart from the check up list the above pro's have given ... let us kno what u hit upon...

                    Safe riding..

I'm getting around 48 kmpl on highways riding at an average speed of 60kmph.Fuel efficiency drops during city ride though.I get about 39-40 kmpl in the city

AFAIK at the PBK you do not get just the rear sprocket, but the entire chain sprocket set.

And IMO, if you are changing, why not change the entire set coz the chain and the sprocket will be at different levels of wear!!!!

Fuel efficiency varies any where from 30-45 across different bikes.

But as a median figure its about 37 for most owners.

PS: I hope ur talking about the 220 Fi and not the 220 Dts-i!!!

^^True, you should ideally change the entire setup. But Nitro, I dont remember seeing your sprocket in a bad shape?!?
Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

                            • Praful is right. PBK changes the whole set. I got mine changed @ 18448 kms. Cost: Rs 1022.

                              Praful bhai & all:
My bike has completed 20k+ kms. Will be 1 yr old on 19 Sep. Has been a dream journey so far. But lately it seems that engine has become bit harsh. I am using oil which PBK is putting. Now seriously thinking of going for a better one. Motul perhaps. Lately sometimes exhast makes PHUT kinda noise. Like some unburnt fuel was there or something. Air filter choke started flashing just this morning only. Will be cleaning it tomorrow.

My IRC 130/70 is getting bald. 20k kms and second tyre getting bald !! Is anything wrong in my bike or my riding style??
