Even that shouldn't be an issue as every oil comes with stabilizing agents so that there are no reactions between different compounds. If otherwise, the 200 ml odd oil remaining in the engine when you drain is enough to screw up your new oil and your engine.

It works perfectly fine... yes, the smoothness gets affected a tiny bit.
