Wrong. My bike has/had a valve issue. It is a component failure problem, not any service related issue.Originally posted by niks_devil666 View Post"Tough times never last, but tough people do." - Robert Schuller

hello all ... feels good to be back ... I have so much to catch around 1K post after I had stopped posting
but I will catch up.
one funny issue happening with my bike .. seems the battery auto charging is not working properly. When ever on any signal if the headlight with highbeam is on along with either right or left indicator is blinking, the battery indicator on odo starts blinking but the bike wont rev automatically like it used to, I need to manually rev the bike to make that indicator go away.
Any ideas ?sigpic

My bike's fuel guage doesn't show the correct amount of fuel. It shows full when the tank can easily take 6-7 lts more. One of the reasons why I thought my bike was giving me abysmal mileage. I faced the oil sensor problem during the monsoons. Go through a big puddle and the indicator blinks and goes away in 5-10 mins. Scared the hell outta me the first time it happened.Originally posted by niks_devil666 View Post1200 is short , he he , good going
Sensors are good , atleast on my bike including the fuel guage(which is very accurate). The only thing that bothers me for the last 5k kms is the oil sensor , which starts to blink as soon as some water is splashed on it.Again some issue with open wires , should be fixed after I'll get all the electricals changed.

yeah rytly said....the gauge is kind of perfect except fr sum minor errors every now and then.....a problem digital meters are well known for....Originally posted by monty007 View Postwell my fuel gauge is correct as well...agree...
but on uncertain roads...mean stip downward..they are incorrect many time...

My bike has that problem for the past 24K kms....And no the PBK is still stuggling to find a proper solution to it.Originally posted by mitesh_singh View Postone funny issue happening with my bike .. seems the battery auto charging is not working properly. The fuel gauge is not accurate, its approximate!Originally posted by Samyaza View PostMy bike's fuel guage doesn't show the correct amount of fuel. Its like that for all... you just need to get used to it!
The low oil indicator in monsoons, happened to me too! But only in Bangalore, never in Chennai!

he showed me a 220 with black alloys n engine which were painted from them.i was shocked to see tht in 2 months after paint , the colour began to degrade with layers getting off it.....also i asked him then wht abt the black alloys given by bajaj in stock..he said..lol they are powder coated...now wht this means?also stated tht engine cudnt be powder coated by us."You not a biker, you nobody." —ME

dude it should not cost you more than 3000. Ask him how many layers is he going to do it. My engine was painted black, its been a year and very little signs of chipping is there at the engine head. Trust me, this little chipping occurs in the company paint that Bajaj provides as well. Just see a year old P200. Little signs of chipping at the head, fins will be there. Wherever you paint it, make sure it is powder coated with atleast 3 layers before the final coat.Originally posted by monty007 View Postguys...i asked a mechanic in showroom tht how much will black engine paint n alloy paint will cost....he said rs.3000-4000.but he also not recommended me to do so.

I and Kri$hna both had our engines painted black. His was a little costlier because he had to paint his two piece handlebar black as well, along with gold color in the calipers. Your mechanic is taking you for a ride if he asks more than 3k+.
Alloys + Engine + swingarm + 3 layers powder coat = Rs 2600
I can't see why he is charging you extra.DoN\'t LivE tO DiE, dIe tO LiVe
