Thanks! It sure does. After the polish it looks like AWESOME BABE. Note : they are still using NIRMA. I got it water washed only, no NIRMA treatment for my bike. Would rather use DOVEOriginally posted by Aryan View Post

My friend who has a 1 year old P220 yesterday came&showed me his bike. I could see black oil stains all over the engine front part! It was not even idling properly. When I tried to check the oil level, I understood that there was no dipstick system on the right side, so I looked into the glass on the left side, to find that I could see no oil there!
I told him the oil seal must have given way&engine oil must have leaked out. What do you guys think?Quench my thirst with gasoline!

The bike needs to be left standing for some time so that oil trickles back. Ideally as soon as you shut off the engine you should see atleast some amount of oil thru the window.Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostMy friend who has a 1 year old P220 yesterday came&showed me his bike. Yes, precisely. This can actually scare the crap out of someone who is not used to gauging the engine oil level through that glass 'window'. I was used to the dip-stick on my P180 Classic, and was really shocked to see that there was NO engine oil when I saw in the 'window'.Originally posted by prafultripathy View PostThe bike needs to be left standing for some time so that oil trickles back. But, after the engine is shut off, slowly the engine oil trickles down. It gives one heart-stopping moments!
@Sarvajit: The engine oil leaking is pretty common in Pulsars. There is a sealant which the Bajaj guys use to stop the same.

Dude no oil guru here, but if the rating (i.e. 20W50, 15W50) is the same and so is the chemical buildup (ie. Mineral, Semi-Synth, Synth) then yes you can mix different brands!Originally posted by niks_devil666 View Post@praful : a quick question , I had some motul oil put by SC , I can top it up (say 50-100ml) with any other oil right?
But ideally from what I've read, one should not mix different rating oils as the resultant rating might not be as prescribed by the manufacturer._________________________

The SC guys *usually* put in 20W50 Mineral oil, unless asked otherwise.Originally posted by niks_devil666 View PostThe rating is same , 20w50 , but not sure what the SC guys put , mineral I guess , the one I have is valvoline semi synthetic (not sure

IIRC VP4T is a 15W50 oil and is semi-synth, would not recommend mixing that with SC oil. I could be wrong though. Drain the SC oil and put the new valvo dude, its a good oil!

I have been running it for 9000 kms. There has been no issues until now and the engine still butter smooth.Originally posted by prafultripathy View PostThe SC guys *usually* put in 20W50 Mineral oil, unless asked otherwise.

P.S: I didn't experiment in this matter. I had re searched in the internet about mixing fully synthetic oils with conventional oils. All the responses I saw said it was safe.DoN\'t LivE tO DiE, dIe tO LiVe
