  • @Mik: Take care man! Wishing you and your brother a speedy recovery from the injuries.

Give your bike to PBK, i'm sure they would fix it back to the way it was.

About the 59Kmph issue, no idea man...its kindda freaky! Did you hit the cow head on?

I can think of only one problem..!! That time the bike must have been in gear and you must not have pulled the clutch lever..

Piston rings being replaced? Isn't that a little too early? A characteristic of Bajaj quality I suppose?

Not necessarily a characteristic of Bajaj quality.

As per the PBK: There was some mild scoring on the cylinder block and that's normal, usage specific score patterns happen on all bikes. But what I suspect is why did this show up after the De-Carb job done on the head?

The condition could be possibly have been caused due to certain unique set of factors. But there is another 220 that I know has the same prob!

I am convinced that Bajaj quality is not really as bad as its projected. I would say,its better than the korean bikes at least.

Did you mess around with the Air filters at anytime? A friend of mine had scratches on the head because of some stupid filter he used.

Can't comment about the Korean bikes that you are referring, but I do believe on the engine/mechanicals front Bajaj has improved a lot in the quality front. Atleast with the kind of (ab)use that I mete out to my bike its doing fantastically!
