    Wow, thats a huge compliment!

But this is not really the 'jannat'....the real jannat is the place where the ads you saw in the PBK's where shot...... Lavassa in Pune!!! That place is pure awesomeness!!!

Arre I don't know if you remember, but I had written long stories in this thread about the issue I was facing after the 30K service when the svc center guys had done a engine decarb and valve lapping.

Since then there have high NVH levels and also peformance has been really weak. I've done 12K kms since then and PBK is still struggling with this issue without any progress, only improvement since then was a 50% reduction in NVH levels with the replacement of crank bearing under the engine warranty!

There was also an oil drinking issue which has been resolved by changing the piston rings.

Lets see what Bajaj people have to say about this.

        • hmmm. I sincerely hope that Bajaj does reply to your mail. I sometimes feel that PRO biking guyz don't have that kind of technical knowledge since they are not updated with regular training by the bajaj people. Just my observation. May be I am wrong. Then my question is what is PRO BIKING then??? If am not getting anything extra or my problem is taking too much of time to be taken care of then it's just another service centre! Does PBK have necessary diagnostic tool apart from that thing which they connect to the 220's ECU? What diagnosis can that machine do apart from the regular check ups? Can it measure the change in tourque / bhp too? I doubt that. Any idea?

bajaj has not replied to the mails my father has sent to them.... no news at al...not even a call...

the pro biking guys have knowledge but its only enough to loosen nuts from our engine..

i spoke to them about regular training ..trust me . they say only what ever is taught is done.. not more not less... most of the times the customer satisfaction is not met... senior sales manager telling me personally..

one more reason is " SIr our boys are here for salary."
wen they told this i was furious.i told them " we are not F**** asking ur boys to dig a tunnel to the ohter side of the earth.. with experience and determination a good mechanic can learn much better.. my parents are docs.. if they did limited work in the medical field there would be deaths everyday... the service manager got me a cuppa tea to console me..

            hmm...

there is every single tool in the pbk.. i have never seen a roller bench as of now... to test hp or torque.. they have well ventilated air conditioned service soom on the second floor....but as they said the're doing how much ever they are paid for... not less not more...
the machine cant do bhp tests or change in vehicle behavior... the manager told me there are certain censors on the bike ( we all kno that by now ) that the machine reads... rest of the bike is serviced as any other bike.. sometimes by trial and error..or when the customer says ... they temselves wont check for anything... i kno a person in indrngr pbk.. (mechanic) he told me... i was kinda heartbroken over the whole experience... thanx for lettin gme share sooo much info ...

                • Done 4th paid servicing. Changed the spark plugs. But for the moment i have gone for Bajaj recommended oil. Mak perhaps. 20W50. It is obviously not as good as Motul 300v! Will be changing to Motul again after 1000 kms.
I hope it does not harm the engine.

                  Otherwise, she is fine.

Probiking is just a name for enticing customers. As a product I don't see added benefit to the customer except a deeper hole in the pocket!

The diagnostic tool can just take a reading from the sensors and check the status of the sensors. Torque/BHP requires a dyno.

Ask the Pune boys for lavassa pics, I was there only once and was more interested in the ride than clicking pics!

+1. Nitro. That castrol oil is pathetic. Change to something better soon. I had done the same thing. Switched back to Castrol from Motul300V (due to monetary concerns than anything else) and I regretted it. After 2200 kms of hard shifts, engine heating and false neutrals, went immediately back to Motul. Nothing like it.

+1 for sure.... motul is the best when it comes to P220 Fi engine, you can really feel the positive difference.

Here a guy quoted around Rs.790 for the 300V, fair price?

As per the three service centres (SK Bajaj, Navi Mumbai / Shirode Bajaj, FC Road Pune / AutoService, Banashankari, Bangalore) that I have visited.... the mechanics say that gasket leakage issue is prevalent even with non-motul oil using P220s. They put a sealant (on the circumference of the gasket) by removing the head of the engine, hence the issue gets resolved.

Regarding the cost of 300v 15W50.... they prices are rising bigtime (donno why). The last time I head the price was 750rs/litre around a month back.... prices differ from dealer to dealer.

People have done 20000+ kms with this oil without issues. We are speaking from our own experience and which oil to go for is left ulimately upto the end user.

790 for 300V?? He has overquoted you. If you bargain, and go to wholesale dealers, he can give you a heavy discount. I got some packs for 680/-.

                              • i just ordered motul 300v from the main distributer for Rs 650 a can.
one thing is there motul seems to be the engine oil for the 220 as with any other oil i have noticed seviere heating and clunky gearshifts.
