  • CEAT Rear Tyre

Those who are looking for a rear tyre can try CEAT VERTIGO SPORTS tubeless.. The only thing I didnt like about the tyre, is it's look ..
I shifted to this from VYDE, just before doing Leh and am very satisfied with the tyre..
VYDE never gave me confidence on hard braking.. Especially when its wet.. Also it was not good, off the road too.. I was more confident on CEAT while cornering, it was good in rain and off road too..
The first few 1000kms, I noticed the tyre tends to skid(while hard braking), since the contact patch was very less.. Once the initial wear off happens, it sticks to the road or off road..
    It costed me 1450/-

      • guys a question...

        my friend owns p180 ug3
he removed air filter from his bike.
he says that he gets slightly more acceleration and grunt....

what are its advantages and disadvantages
        in long run
        in short run.
        {should i do it too?}
        thanks..

Since when did vertigo come in tubeless , I dint look at this option coz all this while I was thinking its TubeType.

For 1450 its very very VFM.

But I agree with you on the looks part, looks like a "gaon ka tyre"

I congratulate your friend on finding the shortcut to kill his bike's engine. You are welcome to do the same if want to.

The airfilter is there for a purpose and thats to "filter". Once that is gone, the engine is exposed to whatever the bike can suck in.

Front sprocket for all the Pulsar big boys remains the same. The rear sprocket changes as follows :-

                    P200 - 38T
                    P220 Fi - 37T
                    P220 - 36T

You can try the bigger sprocket of the 220 Fi, will make ur bike a little bit more fun to ride, but at the cost of loosing out a bit on the topend.

IMHO, ride your bike for atleast 10K kms before going for a change in the sprocket setup, that way you would have explored the current setup to the max!

You have no problem handling the bike in trafic on Sirac ?

Will it be ok if i just change to the 200 sprocket? How much does the whole chain assembly cost? not worried about the top end. 130 is fine for me.

Sirac still is a 120 section tyre like the the stock tyre so as far as the ability to flick it into corner is concerned, there hardly any difference.

With the 200 sprocket you might just about hit 125 tops. My bike when on the 200 sprocket was out of breath at 122, would have gone and hit slightly above 125 but then it was too short geared for my taste!

If you want to shorter gear your bike, the best option would be go for the Fi's. Chain sprocket kit costs ~ 1100/-

Acceleration improved by a bit, bike was doing about 3kmph lesser in every RPM.

                            • ok, I think I should ditch the idea for now cause as it is the 3rd and 4th gears on the bike are useless.
