    • ^^ Putting a patch on the inside of the tyre would still leave it vunerable to further punctures on the same spot. Plugging the puncture is the only way to fix it properly.

      • What kind of patch is this? If its a mushroom plug/patch its the way to go. But it seems that isn't the case. He has probably used an ordinary patch using some old tube. Not recommended! Suggest you try getting a mushroom plug done there from some good tyre shop.

          • Mushroom plug has to be fixed from inside the tyre with an adhesive. It looks something like a mushroom, hence the name. This is the best method.

Other method is to insert a plug from outside. This is the simplest method, and you don't even need to remove the tyre from the rim, which is a big advantage - no scratches and no rebalancing required and minimal labour.

            • Check my post few pages back. I have posted the puncture images .
@Monty: The man did the puncture repair like a tube tyre!!

It is meant to be done from people who repair tubeless tyres.

              • My bike starts perfectly when in NEUTRAL.
But bike doesnt start when i stall it in GEAR even after complete pressing clutch. So i have to either bring it to NEUTRAL or SWITCH OFF and SWITCH ON the ignition (switching ignition off and on surprisingly allows me to start the bike in GEAR without any problems).

                Any pointers to the problem?

there seems to be a never ending problem at service centers....... looks like bike enthusiasts should form small communities and hire well versed and skilled mechanics...Like how the rd,JAwa, superbike owners have it for themselves...... they have a prob, then its a one stop destination to their garage... ITs high time we 220 wala's did it. I don even trust pbk.... mostly guys, temme one thing... during the first service , everything including lubing should be free.....BUT NOOOOOOOOOO !!!!! they put this sentence in the service work job sheet ( OIL CHANGE UNDER CUSTOMERS REQUEST )& WILL BE CHARGED FOR IT . isnt it their duty to do it ? they took money from me too...soliD 30 Rupees for just spraying on lube without even cleaning the chain... my chain was still messy.... bikes kept under direct sunlight. bike being pushed into spaces between two other bikes.(foot pegs get bent, scratches , etc etc..). this bickering wont end...

yeah i read that job sheet carefully today there was super minute supersubscript saying that "kisi bhi tarah ke nuksaan ki zimmedaari hamari nahi hogi"

then why the hell you are sitting there with banner PROBIKING.
seriously man they are PRO LOSERS.

looks like i have to learn to be mechanic of my bike.

BAJAJ SHOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. OR THEY WILL SCREW EVERY PULSAR.

one more thing i found my spark plugs loose. and those nuts which bind sprocket to the rim thank god i got them tightend.
one of mechanic near my house worked there before he told me they to such things intensionally to void the warranty . is this true????

                      • Guys, you have to find ways to make life difficult for them... the same way they are making it difficult for you. Remember, everytime you put up or tolerate something, you are encouraging them to continue with their ultra shoddy work while you happily or sadly pay for it.

Ranting and swearing here will make zero difference to them. In fact it usually is an excuse for not doing anything about it. Doing something definite and concrete about it is what will make the difference. Its your bike, your money and your responsibility.

                          • Call customer care, Lodge a complaint and a warning about a consumer forum case against Bajaj. It will work like a charm.

I use the RTR mirrors. Click the below pic, the black 220 uses a P150 mirror and the red one uses a RTR mirror. The RTR mirrors a shade better in terms of functionality and looks.

Tripathy babu, can you please elaborate on this?

forming small communities will assume their small existence.anything we do shud be done in large amount.like mailing to bajaj all at one time.i got my puncture cured from local mechanic coze the pbk guys dont have kit to repair tubeless punctures ...now wht can we do.it leave us only with oe option ,go with other companies.but here, i love pulsar220 not bajaj.
