Intial Review: After moving on from my TOTALLY Bald Zapper-C , i feel the IRC to be simply awesome, terrific, mind-blowing and what not . I was trying all the possible lean angles and positively no sign of the bike loosing control or wobbling although it has very poor handling. The tyre is very confident inspiring on the curves . I could Downshift, Accelerate and Brake Hard with ease even on the edge of the rubber . I couldnt test the braking part and wet grip of the tyre as oil has spilled on my rear disc . So couldnt exploit the tyre's true potential . Will repost when my rear brakes become functional.

PS- The same tyre can be found on some of the new P220 DTS-i's.

    Here are a few Pics.

    seems amazing...
though are these soft compounds ?
and are these the ones that come company fitted on the Pulsar 220's now being alloted ???

And is PUC mandatory in KA? (Was never asked for in chennai!) You may reply by PM if you want to. Thanks once again.
You cannot pay Road Tax YoY, you will have to pay Life Time Road Tax if you choose to do so.

Why do you want to pay LTT when you have already paid it once in TN. I would suggest ride the bike for a few weeks, once you get caught once or twice then decide if you want to pay the tax or not.

PUC is mandatory across India after the vehicle is more than a year old.

Is that good or anything else needs t be done?
Nope never cleaned em in 52K kms of ownership. Unless the SVC centre has done it on their own accord, which I highly doubt. The fuel filter does a pretty decent job.

Moreover i don't have long term plans in bangalore and will be shifting back in a year or 2 at max.

            Mud and Slush!!! Faackk!!

Your SVC centre guys would be the best bet for this, you could try your luck at a Bosch Car Service centre. Those guys do an excellent job for anything automotive.

But, change your fuel bunk ASAP. What is the replacement interval you follow for the fuel filter. Bajaj recommends 5K kms for the Fi, but I usually change it at every service or 3K kms.

Aug 2007 is one of the earlier lots of the 220 Fi and it "could" be prone to issues. Its a gamble, there's a 50-50 chance that the bike will be trouble free. If you are looking to pick up an Fi then look for post March'08 models.

            • I did not change the filter after leh...in fact 7k kms after leh. First filter change at 10k only. That's the reason I guess. I ll follow the 3k procedure henceforth. Bunk here is good.

for a three yr old bike , the price seems too high... though depends on the condition of the bike, remember that FI is high cost and is high maintenance... calculate depreciation @ 12% to 15% per yr from original cost n u will have a max price for the bike... OR try an insurance appraisal they will give a prefect price beyond which u should not pay...

Depriciation for Bajaj bikes should be 20% in my view. So, a 2007 P220 FI should not cost more than 40K Rs. That's the true value of that bike if maintained properly.

Do that after I've clocked another 50K kms... And price would remain constant!

You are right that in the way i said(20% depriciation), it makes no value for bike. But, in real the depriciation is not calculated @20% of whole price. My formula Till 40,000, and no matter about bike age; Depriciate @20%.. and after that it depends on bikes condition and model, the depriciation of 20% makes no sense becuz this way the value of bike will be 0Rs after 5 years

Ha ha ha.. if that was the case then an RD 350 would cost -60k.. i.e, the owner will give the bike to us and also give 60k with it..
Coming back to depreciation, i guess Hero honda bikes have really awesome resale value, a 5 years old splendor was sold by my friend for 28k , while the mechanic quotes my 3 years old P180 ug3 value as 32k

Yup, Cars priced 8 lakhs and above depreciate faster and same thing holds true for cars/bike which return better mileage as well.
