Air filter and fuel filter must be replaced

& about the engine oil which engine oil r u using???
Drain period of mineral oil - 1.5-2K kms
Drain period for Synthetic oil - 4-6 K kms.

    Replace the fork oil.
See the level of both front and rare brake fluids see that weather the brake fluid levels are above the 'MIN' mark if they are low topup them with DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid.
Replace the stock spark plugs if u r using NGK iridium plugs no need
220fi has oil filter just tell them to clean the oil filter.
    Dude did u bought 220fi????

    u own p180 na

I forgot to mention to PBK change of fork oil and checking brake fluids. Thanks for reminding me for that.

Yes, I own a 180 UG4 too. I purchased a Used 220 FI, yesterday. Either me will ride 180 or my younger brother. But, this '*exy Lady, 220' is making me aroused to ride it.

      • I just had a talk with PBK guy at 4:00 PM. He said that the whole wiring needs a change and the self-starter is jammed and needs replacement.
The bike is not under warranty. How the Heck! would the starter jam when it was working before the bike was in hibernation for 3-4 months. He said that the rain water has ruined the starter and wiring part. I told him to replace starter motor and donot change the wiring and just repair it, instead.

The bike will be delivered tommorow, at evening.
        Cost-Estimate:

        1) Self Starter : 1400-1500 Rs

        2) Wiring : 2500 Rs (although I told him not to replace it, so this is just for information of 220 FI owners)

        Thanks for assistance guys.

        • ^^ Try putting a self starter from another 220 Fi to check if its really your starter thats gone bad or something else.

I cannot do it right now. As the bike is not started till now, I just wants it first into life, anyway. After that I will check that the starter that is replaced is really FAULTY or they are making mockery of me. I have just purchased the vehicle, and have'nt rode it once!

Yes, but the chain is making a loud noise. The guy told me that, it needs replacement. Also, he told to replace rear disc + pads and cost above 1500Rs.

Pbk goes numb when i tell em bout it...

apart from that , everything else was quick....
Guys, My 220 is a week old with 600Kms on the Odo, done with the 1st service, Never crossed 4K RPM till 1st Service.

But that Wierd metal churning sound is evident at 2K RPM at 2nd gear, the PBK Service Engineer abosolutly disagreed that there was any noise.

I aint new to bikes, i hv Run in a P180 and a ZMA before owning this one.. I am sure that there is a grunting noise that sounds like the bearing is Conked..

Any of you guys facing the same prob ? is it the chain ?? engine ?? what is it ? any one found any solutions ??? Please help!!!

I still feel it should not be happening at 600 KMs

Erm do you have a 220 DTSi or an Fi ? Didn't know there were still Fi's for sale

It'd be helpful if you could record a video / audio. Keep the bike on the main stand and slot it in gear and run it at the said gear and rpm ?

But either ways ? have you guys expd it? it aint loud enuf to record, its just a small sound with a mild Vibe attached to it.. The Vibe feels like two rusted metals pieces grinding against each other .. and the they can be felt in the Handle and foot peg.. very Mild though..

and jus FYI, i re posted this Q in the DTSi thread too .. there are some ppl facing this issue...

no more sound from anywhere as such for me..

i had the metal churning sound.now ive got used to it..was a hero honda user before ... when shifted over to a bajaj product, the refinement made the huge difference.
they took a look at the clutch. the gearbox.everything was fine.
it takes its time to get alright.dont worry.

                              cheers..ride safe

to be on the safer side, just tighten all bolts..make sure there is no engine part that is snapped off and is moving around in the engine oil.. small fragments i mean. everytime u throttle u get this churr churr churr sound. ive had it.. now its all fine. got used to it.
