He he ha ha!! Trust me, the very line you've posted above find a place in xBhp Magazine. Goodwill if you ask me, might allow the auto cos to do their homework especially for you.

I know what you want a 500 CC 60 bhp, perimeter frame, ABS, techy console at an unbeatable price of 2 lakhs err.. scratch that, 1.5 ex showroom, how does that proposition sound?

But I must mention that since the time I have bought the bike, I have not had any squealing issues or too much bite or the lack of it kind of issues and my rear brake pads usually last about 25+K.
Ok.. strange but I can definitely feel a huge difference in braking. Both the brakes are gripping like magnets. I am running on regular braking line, not the steel braided ones. Will get the steel braided for front next month. Is the KTM's rear steel braided line a direct fit to the Pulsar's? The SVC guy told me that it's longer & bit unsafe to get it installed.

            Guys,
Facing a problem. Got my bike serviced last week. Was performing good. Took my bike out for joy ride couple of days back when it was raining heavily. Now, I am getting a lag in throttle response & there is small burst (mis-firing) when I give throttle & close it immediately. Went to the SVC today & they replaced the o-ring for throttle body & also fuel-filter. It ran ok for couple of kms but again am facing that definite lag in throttle response. What are the reasons? Water in tank? Spark Plug issues? Help me out guys

Actually I don't mind paying 2-2.5L for a juicy 300-400cc with 35-45 horses on tap and not to forget a >150mm ground clearance is absolutely needed! And oh last but not the least, semi-faired please

Most probable cause is the last two issues. There is water somewhere, but where exactly needs to be figured out. Leave it for a day, water in the electrical contacts should dry out by then. If the problem still persists then, there's water in the tank.

                Sounds like water in tank.
Though spark plug cannot be ruled out too, since you rode in heavy rains , its mostly chance of water in tank

                • It ought to be water in tank. I too faced similar issue of misfiring when i was driving and then bike completely shut down on me and did not start. I had to drag it for 10 kms to reach home. Next day when i gave my bike for tank cleaning it had about 1 liter of water in it . After tank cleaning my bike is again running fine

                  • Pulsar 220 DTSFI update

Just an update on the bike
Completed 57,000 kms yesterday. The bike has been perfoming perfectly so far. THe only major repair was the change in the silencer which cost about 8k.
THe stock tyres were also recently changed at about 54 k. THe only problem that i face is the service centres in Pune that work on the FI.
Can someone in Pune point out if there is any other service station apart from the one in Kothrud which has all the tools to service the bike. Have been getting the bike services from Sai Service so far.
But just want to know in case there are any other service stations in Pune that can work on the FI

Thanks guys but apparently the reason was... UNKNOWN Took it to service centre & explained them the problem. They drained out the petrol into another container & we kept that for half an hour to let water settle at the bottom, if any. To our surprise, we couldn't see any such layer!! Meanwhile, the mechanic took out the fuel pump, emptied it & reattached, changed the o-ring of the throttle body plate, took out a thing from the injector part, cleaned it. We refilled the petrol leaving around 200-400 ml in the container just to be sure enough & voila!! The bike is back to it's character!!

                          • Good to see some posts in this thread after some long time.
Bybre stuffs for rear is a worthy change if you use more rear braking, as I do. My front brakes are so poor that I had to depend on the rear brakes now. I have steel braided lines in front, brakes are supposed to progressive, but its almost Nil. I suspect disc plates could have become mosaic, so thinking of
                            1. Scrapping disc plate a bit for the brake pads to have some grip.
                            2. Replace/Upgrade the brake fluids.
                            3. Get the bybre stuff for front or look for some alternative brands in market which can fit our 220.

                            Need inputs on the above...

For me, Bybre Disc calipers front & rear has transformed the way bike brakes now. Amazing shift in quality. Yet to get steel braided line for front but even with this setup, I am happy
