Removing and re installing fairing is PITA ! Inside bracket was broken, svc was asking ~2k to replace it... I got it welded for 30 bucks
...
Also installed Zapper Revz s 130/70 since SIRAC was skidding a lot... Now bike feels more flickable
... Going to install FY1 90/80 in front tomorrow, will post the pics later...

Welded? Bracket? Which bracket did you weld, did you got it welded on the metal stay or where? Help me out!! I had a crash just three weeks back, and my impact just smithered the plastic fairing brackets and the entire metal stay on which the fairing sits, was out of shape to the right. So total damage 4k including the fairing, stay, service etc.Originally posted by abhifusion View PostRemoving and re installing fairing is PITA ! Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

And you expect we would suggest some fat tyre just like that? First let us know why you are looking for fat tyres in front. If it is just for looks you can try anything you like.. Note that change in Front tyre profile directly impacts the handling. So study the difference and take a call.Originally posted by kany1991 View Postcan ny 1 suggest me a fatter front tyre for my bike

... See if it can be brought back to original shape then you'll only need new fairing... Here svc take 350 bucks to replace fairing + 350 bucks to replace metal bracket as labor...
New set of rubber

Thanks baba. My stay was bent at 45 degree, and I asked them if it can be mended. Few guys came hurrying, looked at the bike, shook it for a while holding the fairing. With a grim grin, they said, sorry sir you gotta replace your stay.Originally posted by abhifusion View PostIts the "metal stay" which I'm referring as bracket

BTW, Isnt the MRF Revs the same one that comes stock in fz ?
Would it suit the 220 ?
Cheers

Sheesh..! That sucks, really slushy situation, but i do have to clear one doubt, are you referring that its not so good on the 220 or for the fz too ? I have been riding a brand new fz for about 1k kms now, and the tyres are holding up very good, on tarmac and slight bumpy roads too, haven't tried out really wet roads, though roads with moderate showers it did perform ok.
P.S: All observation was within the run-in speed limit, so cant be sure if its the case in emergency or panic braking.
Cheers
