Shell Engine Oils are not for our Indian Bikes. I used it for the very first time but had to drain it off and then went for M300V..Originally posted by yuv_biKING View PostAfter a long wait got the Motul 300V. Just to add to my Gyans on Oils how are SHELL?..
The reason being the clutch seems to slip a lot.( Our Indian Bikes not being attributed with Slipper Clutch)
M300V fully synthetic is quite good for 220.

Congrats! Great bike isnt it.. this is the feel many 220 owners like us have.. Only worry part is the ASS..Originally posted by M@n()J View PostToday morning my bike crossed the 30k kms mark! Took for a spin to Lavasa early morning. I am one more proud and happy owner of this machine! Love the bike and enjoy riding it every time. Been an awesome tourer and reliable too!
Bought on Aug 2008, ridden in TN,KL,KA,PY,AP,MH. My dream ride of getting Leh'd will be fulfilled along with this bike, my 220!
Let us know the feedback of new caliper after some 100 KMS of usage..Originally posted by Ivin View PostGuys , I might change the rear calipers to the new Bybre one... My bike is 15K+ on the odo, all of a sudden the engine dies out. then i switch off the ignition and switch on again, the bike starts & runs normally. what could be the cause? this happened 5 times in 2 months.Biker of the Year -2013

If I can remember correctly ( since it was 3 years old when i bought itOriginally posted by yuv_biKING View PostThanks for sharing your experience.. Can I know which engine oil from Shell you tried..
) , the Engine oil was SHELL ADVANCE ULTRA, which costed me around 1100 Bucks. I dont know exactly the price, but guess was around this figure only.
But as I said, when i inquired about it, I had to drain it ( all money wasted ) and had to go for Motul..
@Frankpili :-
Have you checked your routine maintenance items, like plugs, air and fuel filters, etc.?
There may be problem in , Loose or disconnected ignition system wires or bad connectors too.
Get your bike thoroughly checked from Probiking.Last edited by mav1234; 07-13-2011, 04:46 PM.

It happens any time, there's no specific action that triggers it.Originally posted by Praful View PostDoes it happen every time or is there a specific action that triggers this like deceleration?
The bike had this problem before & after the 2nd paid service at PBK Vizag on 4th July, i forgot to mention it to the PBK people.Originally posted by mav1234 View Post@Frankpili :-

Get your sparkplugs and ignition coil checked.Originally posted by frankpilli View PostIt happens any time, there's no specific action that triggers it.
Still can't really say for sure as there are many variables involved which could cause this!_________________________
