Re: Pulsar 220 DTS-Fi
reaaalllyyy old 220 fi reporting for duty once again, just back in action from a really bad accident, which destroyed the joel silencer, so went back to stock and realized why i had put the joel silencer, it was due to a irritating metallic noise from the silencer comes and goes away randomly.Ajinkya

Re: Pulsar 220 DTS-Fi
Hi all P220Fians...how you all are doing.....
Happy new year to you all..
I'm still running my old dark P220 fi for almost 6+ years (Since Dec' 2008).....
Almost covering 1,56,000 odd kms on it....
Running well now with having lots jerks in this 6yrs....
But i'm still loving my old dark P220fi..n running on it....
My longest run on this bike was 311 kms in a day.
Still my bike is in stock position though few years back i put Phillips HID on it....But don't like too much so i replaced it stock with Phillips x-treme white H7.
Now i will go for full engine overhaul including clutch replacing, valve repairing.
So can anybody inform me what should i take care while doing doing full engine overhaul?
And what will be Inlet and Exhaust valve clearance as i came to know from Pulsar DTSi workshop manual that DTSi engine is having 0.05mm for inlet and 0.1mm for exhaust valve.
So should i keep the same clearance for my old DTS-fi engine also.
Please guys reply......
Also i gone through the internet and i know
Acceptable clearance ranges are:
0.08mm - 0.13mm for the intake valve clearance
0.11mm - 0.16mm for the exhaust valve clearance.....
So guys please help me out to solve this valve clearance problem.....

Re: Pulsar 220 DTS-Fi
As mentioned in my PM a few weeks back, this data is available only in the 220 Fi SVC manual which only the Bajaj service centers have.Originally posted by somnath_halder View Post

Re: Pulsar 220 DTS-Fi
I know that but the problem in kolkata is that we do not have any PBK outlet for 220fi in kolkata.
The KTM guys are refusing to take a look into 220fi problems.
that is why i float this inquiry in the forum.
So i\'m keeping by default all baja bikes 220 dtsi bike having 0.05mm intlet and 0.1mm exhaust clearance.
let\'s see how it will perform.

Latest News i got. Bajaj has stopped production of few parts of Fi 220's. Duke's petrol filter is altered and used on our Fi bikes.Life Motto: live, love, laugh... but when all goes wrong:ready, aim, FIRE!!...

Bajaj service centre are using duke's fuel filter. 220fi needs fuel filter with one inlet and one outlet. Whereas duke has 2 inlet, one outlet. So 1 inlets needs to be sealed. This is risky work. Suppose any leak happens bike may catch fire. But there isn't any option.Life Motto: live, love, laugh... but when all goes wrong:ready, aim, FIRE!!...

Re: Pulsar 220 DTS-Fi
I had a look at the duke's fuel filter, as you said it had 2 inlet and 1 outlet, do you have any idea which inlet has to be sealed off ( covered one, or uncovered one ) ?Originally posted by Dreamwalker987 View PostBajaj service centre are using duke's fuel filter. 220fi needs fuel filter with one inlet and one outlet.
