Nothing, I just wanted to know whether the 'bracket' that connects the swing-arm and the caliper is a direct fit replacing the old one......
By the way, is it available at Auto Service pbk..?

    • For putting the bybre stuff you just need to change the caliper and disc pads. The mount remains the same AFAIK!

          Don't feel sorry

I'm yet to see the part myself, its a pity that the mounts are different that makes it an even more expensive affair now! :/

          Are you getting it done?

I'm very much interested in fitting it, but will have to come to B'lore to get it.. But that isn't a problem. The real problem is , will that bigger mount be a direct fit or not... If its not, it would be useless buying it...

Even if the mount has change I don't think that the swingarm has changed so you can change the swingarm mount+calipers+pads.

I hope so... The calipers come with pads already on them... I brought the front one last month from Khivraj. They didn't have the rear one in stock, or I would have brought it, and also I didnt knew Auto Service was there in B'lore... I only knew Khivraj. Next time, no Khivraj...

                • Pulsar 220 First Impressions!

My friend took the delivery of a Pulsar 220 in May 2011. The overall experience was good. We went to the showroom at about 3PM. We were treated nicely and were offered 3 colours P220 (Black, Blue, Red). My friend opted to go with the black as it is universal acceptor to human eye as far as vehicles are concerned

The bike price was around 86,000 on road here in my town in Uttar Pradesh. The bike was readily available and everything was done real fast (cash, formalities and etc) We were out of the showroom by 4:30 and did a full tank :-) (best feeling) and went for a ride.

The average has been around 38Kmpl in city (better than my 2006 ZMA) and no issues with the bike. However, I strongly disliked the built quality is some areas like the engine finish, chain cover, side guard, etc. The plastic is also more tak-tak sound making to touch.

The bike has done 600Kms and is now ready for 1st service. Hoping that average should improve little more. Posting some pictures.

Else the fully synth oil from Castol is also good from what people say, I somehow can't trust castrol. There's even the Valvoline Premium 4T, but that will last only 2.5K as its a Semi-synth!
After a long wait got the Motul 300V. Just to add to my Gyans on Oils how are SHELL?..

@Coolferry: I see the Petrol price costing around INR 56.6.. Are UP guys so lucky..

                          • Praful, I got the bigger oil cooler from here itself One of my friend's got posted at the spare parts section and everything I asked for was in stock except the new rear caliper assembly... The other spare parts persons are dumb, I think... I will fit the cooler tomorrow...

                            • Crossed the 30k kms mark!

Today morning my bike crossed the 30k kms mark! Took for a spin to Lavasa early morning. I am one more proud and happy owner of this machine! Love the bike and enjoy riding it every time. Been an awesome tourer and reliable too!

Bought on Aug 2008, ridden in TN,KL,KA,PY,AP,MH. My dream ride of getting Leh'd will be fulfilled along with this bike, my 220!

                              Few pics of my 220

The P220 Fi/ P220F is worshiped for its Raw power, superb stability & braking. this is an ultimate Made in India touring bike. we 'r not concerned about Finish.
