may be around 2k for Fork set but not the expensive one on the cards, next need to replace the wiring harness. so expecting a little more hole in the pocket..

keep a momentum and jerk along with the bike .. jus kidding... check for a proper CO adjustment.. try changing the fuel station (like SHELL) ..

Are you facing/faced any electrical issues. My wiring harness was replaced as there were a couple of times I had issues with the electrical, plus it was the older design. Hence the replacement.

              • Information about Osram Nightbreakers H7 bulb-Delhi

                Hi Guys,
Just wanted to share some information wrt Osram Nightbreaker H7 bulbs.

Recently I wanted to get one as the low beam lamp malfunctioned. I went to Karol Bagh & enquired about it. Seems like, it's very hard to find as H7 bulbs are pretty high end stuff. Let alone motorcycle parts dealer even car accessory dealers don't keep that stuff. Finally I managed to get hold of one dealer, Sahni Automobiles, near K Bagh Police Stn. he was offering OSRAM NBK H& for Rs 800 per piece. He showed me another local H7 bulb which emits white light for Rs 250. I wanted to try it so got it. Expectedly it has very poor light.
So today I started my research. I contacted Osram office in Gurgaon & found out no. of their Product Manger dealing with Automotive lamps. He suggested that Car Accessory shops in LJP Nagar & Khan Market will definitely have Osram. I called few of them (around 7 shops) no one had Osram NBK. All of them had Phillips H7 though. Prices quoted were 900-950 Pair !! Then again called up the PM from Osram & took the no. of the dealer in South Delhi who apparently distributes Osram NBK H7. His name is Chaddha, Ph 9811137753. He has quoted Osram NBK for Rs 1100 a pair !! Apparently single piece costs more than pair !

There is another Shop in Khan Market which sells Osram NBK

                Aggarwal Auto World, Khan Mkt
                Mr Manish Aggarwal 9891677759
He also quoted the same figure !!

I will be buying a pair soon & will share my experience.

Dude, exact same problem happened with me few months back. Jering response in lower RPM. Nothing in high RPM.Even after getting Fuel filter replaced, Air filter cleaned, Injector cleaned nothing majot happened. Lastly they checked the timing of the fuel pump I guess (they said that there was issue with timing, not timing chain) & now it's back to normal.

                  • Seems like no one is interested in 220 Fi thread now !

                    Update from my end
I have installed Osram Nightbreaker for both High & Low beam lamps. Expectedly, light intensity is pretty good. I just need to tweak the high & low beam level a bit so as to have a longer range for both beams. Light colour is not white but a bit light yellowish.

                          • @Praful:- I hav been following this thread quite a lot out of queries abt the longivity of
P220's , most of the information are very helpful & the update abt the replacement of the very necessary parts was a good update from your side .

As I am yet to make up my mind to go for Bajaj again after my P150 DTSi 2004 so I m always a regular reader of this Ownership thread .
And in my shortlisted bikes like
RE350 Electra DB+ES(20% interested as its will be an investment for years),

P220F(45%-for economical parts & good on touring) ,

CBR250(20%-I think parts are still an issue , family says "go get a Chevy Beat on finance instead ") ,

RTR180ABS ( 15% - its on my mind only due to ABS technology , thats all )

I still find a tilt towards the Pulsar, which is very much supported in our continent be it temperature , parts, highways , i m in to touring , so all these are added to go for same old Pulsars .I think when it comes to ownership Pulsar have an headstart over the segment . Semi-fared are still easy to ride than full-fared like ZMR,CBR with regards to heat levels , this is what I sum-up after going through vast Ownershp threads of Ninja,CBR , no offences please .

@Dipankar Da- you also have Fi model & its running fine in your care , right . and yes I am waiting for the spread of the beam you have added to your ride . looking forward to see you soon .

                            • Caution Notice : To all 220 owners, do not get the MRF Zapper FX front tyre from the FZ on your bike, the tyre is great on the FZ but not for the 220. The only good thing about the tyre is that it holds really well in cornering. That is by far the only advantage this tyre has over others...In all other departments its pretty pathetic. Please avoid using these tyres as I am suffering a lot from using them!

                                Saar,
I would still say 220 is a great value for money. The olny tilt I have is towards CBR 250 as it's new & tech wise much superior to 220. No doubt it will prove to be a good tourer.

I like the new classic range of bullet but just 1 thing pisses me, why tube tyre???

RTR 180 ABS is also good but heard that it's bit expensisve to maintain because of parts

Whatever you buy dude, it will just make you roam more in the Himalayas

                                will post the pic soon
