We're not bothered, just trying to make sure you don't end up damaging your bike. But seriously, some advice from my side: Just be careful and if you're not ready to shell out for an engine rebuild at some point down the line, don't do it.

And to add to that, trust me stick to stock. After riding my bike for nearly 50K kms kms I can tell you for the 220 Fi stock rocks!

I second that. I didn't want to put it that way, since I believe everyone gets to choose for themselves. However, Praful here is right. Even the 220 carb (the one I own) is best left stock.

I hope you don't want to own your bike for two long, as a 'improperly' designed exhaust will effectively kill your engine pretty soon.

300V lasts above 5K kms, depending on your riding style it can even last for about 7-8K kms. I've been running on 300V for 6K kms with some of the hardest riding and touring I've ever given the bike. Its still going strong, the engine oil level has not dropped too.

5100T last about 3.5-4.5K kms, will last a tad longer if you're a soft rider.

Any oil that you buy other than service centre oil you have to buy 2 cans. You can keep the left over 700-800ml in the second for the next oil change simple. But that would mean you have to use the same oil for the next 3-4 oil changes.

You cannot generalize the life of the oil as synthetic or semi-synthetic. The manufacturer makes a huge difference to the final life of the oil too.

Eg: Valvoline Semi-Synthetic lasts 2-2.5K kms , whereas Motul 5100T last 3.5-4.5K kms.
Thanks a lot Praful. I am not that hard a rider neither too subtle. So I guess Il go ahead with the Motul 5100T. As I have already mentioned that my bike has done 4.2k kilometers, should I go ahead and change my Champion spark plugs with the NGK Iridium one's or just wait till 10K at which time I have to dump the old one's.? Please do let me know if you have an idea as to how much each spark plug would cost?

          • NGK's usually cost 550/- for a plug each. Some place you can get discount too, but that what I've mentioned is the standard street pricing.

You can go in for it right now, you can keep you stock plugs as backup plugs for later.

Not necessarily. It all depends on your riding style. Once 300V last me only 3.5k kms. My last refill was done at over 6k kms. It all depends on how hard u ride. If u are a soft rider it may last upto 8k+ kms. If u are a really hard rider it can go bad in 4k kms as well.If u get the feeling that the engine is getting harsh or getting heated up pretty fast u may have to change it soon. Also keep an eye on the oil level. If it goes too low top up.

                    Ya thankz for the info

by using fully synthetic oil there are more chances of leaking engine oil from the black cap which is above right side of d engine???

Yea there are chances of leakages, so be prepared for it and PBK will fix it by using a sealant..so don't worry, live happy!!

Not necessarily. It can last that much or even less than half of it, a lot of it depends on your riding conditions and riding style. Which is highly variable to predict. You can safely say that it will last atleast 4.5K kms.

Its not necessary that oil will leak, it can leak and does for most if not all.

The first time I used 300v it din't leak for the first 4K kms. Now I've been using it for 6K kms without leaks.

                            • today i have installed the ABS for both front and rear

excellent superb awesome only its appearance

i cannot feel any difference comparing with the stock

i prefer the stock brake now with ABS while applying both the brakes the rear tends to roll (drag )
