Please post in one post, don't do multiple simultaneous posts.

With the Sirac only the rev-limiter cut-off for 3rd gear is 99kmph.

Kindly post everything in one single post. Also i asked u to mention the rev-limiter cut-offs and speed at 6k rpm on 5th gear. Kindly post all the data at once.

If u find it costly better go for the anabond paste. If sticked once properly it will last till the time the engine is opened.

Would be interesting to see if someone comes up with a jugaad.

But do keep in mind battery load the bane of the P220 Fi.
Cant the seals be melted? I was playing with the headlight assembly one day and i found that they can be peeled with the hand.

Mine shows 101 without the sirac.

U forgot to see my last post.

In my last refill forks were not filled properly. The level wasnt same in both the forks. I could feel the handle turning upon braking although i had other handling issues. After around 2k kms i again asked them to put another 50ml. It feels better now. They are not so soft like a normal one. But the action has decreased considerably. Courtesy not so great forks. Its been over 6k kms now. Oil seals are perfect.
Iam trying to make it as stiff as possible. The bike feels very flexible while cornering knee down. I dont mind even if i have very bad pain in the you know where.

Get it done when you get your bike serviced. you can avoid unecessary labour charges.

Guess he is running on Sirac with DTSI sprocket's.

At what RPM does the battery starts charging? most of the time my 220 headlight is on and i keep riding below 3k rpm.

Dude, don't even post ur speedo reading. U've gotta speedo from Mars

I am totally at a loss, as to how you can fill 350ml? I still haven't seen the service manual, but the PBK has clearly told me that they fill 300ml.

Weird things happen to your bike man!

Yes I am aware he's running his bike with the Sirac and the 36T. Thats why his bike is as fast a P180

AFAIK, the charging starts as soon as the bike is started, atleast on the FI. Why are you babying the engine by keeping it below 3K RPM. You've past 1K, start bedding in the engine now. Take it till the point where the bike is making peak torque at least.

Coz its returning me superb mileage of 21-33kmpl and 90% of the time its bumper to bumper traffic. Mine has done abt 2.4k kms. Ripping is being taken care of my bro and his friends

My route to office and back is such that i hardly get a chance to hit 55-60kmph! it takes 25mins to do 6kms! Thts why i asked

                • Read the plugs. Then tune it accordingly, your bike's tuning is bust and hence the fantastic mileage.

Change ur route to office then

I've not touched the CO setting in the past 6K+ kms, the state of tune is 'perfect'. Just this sunday opened up to check the plugs, they were the perfect shade of brown. "TouchWood"!

                      what is that bust tuning?
                      some Questions,
1)does bike running lean cause less mileage due to improper tuning?
2)I guess my bike is running lean, Bike makes knocking sound while coming downhill with clutch pressed.
3)RPM varying from 1k to 2.5 k in idling depending engine heat
It starts at 1k when engine is cold.
It stays at 1.5k when engine is warm.
goes till 2.5k when clutch pressed in gear. sometimes 2k.
4)RPM needle dancing when bike is in idle.

I dont have any cold start problem and i'v carb version.

                      • Hi,

Just want to check if anyone else has been having the same problem. Off late my bike stalls for no reason, mostly when i am downshifting. Then it refuses to start, all the desi tareekas are tried. Then, miraculously, after about an hour .. it starts. Yesterday, it started up when i shorted the two nodes near the battery with the key.
Today the pbk people gave it a thorough electrical check up. No coil issues, relay issues.. or any other shorting. One strange fault was that the roll over sensor had stopped working. He replaced that. Wonder whether that has solved the problem.

Note: No issues in fuel filter or bad quality fuel.

screwed up tuning, prolly somethin to do with the CO setting or ignition mapping(in their FIs).
                          some Questions,

knocking? if you mean misfiring, it could be because of the plugs- get the gap adjusted and cleaned of any carbon deposits, if any. even mine does misfire once in a while if i ride the clutch for prolonged distances, so i choose to 'coast', i.e. use engine braking

Today I bought NGK Spark Plugs, both CR8EIX. I asked him for a CR9EIX and he told me his dealer does not offer him one and he also told him that there isn't much of a difference between the models.
AFAIK, the CR9EIX is more of a cold heat range plug and other the vice versa. Should it cause a problem if I use the CR8EIX on both the nodes? and the "Spark Plugs" quick link in the main page does not speak about this combination.

It was a bit funny when I saw it for the first time too, but the 220 needs different plugs on both sides. Left side is CR9E/EGGP/EIX: NGK Partfinder for Two Wheelers

&right side is CR8E/EGP/EIX: NGK Partfinder for Two Wheelers

Well.. Thanks a lot for the info for I will get one of these plugs changed tomorrow. But, I will be really happy if anybody can tell me as to what ton a difference it would make and how big a damage it would deal if I went ahead with CR8EIX.. Any Info is very much appreciated.
