It isnt a great idea to go for such an exhaust. It just looks like another farting can to me. It wont be providing any significant improvement in performance. It will make u run lean causing damage to the engine internals.
For changing the cylinder head gasket the whole engine head has to be lifted and the new gasket has to be put. If will require removal of seats, lifting of tank and opening of the top part (head) of the engine.Originally posted by truelypulsarian View PostThanks for the reply guys but there is leaking of engine oil from that cap in my bike now is the exams time so cant go to pbk
.
guys for changing that black cap is it compulsary to remove the tank
?
What do u mean by roll? U would lose considerably on braking bite. But u should be able to squeeze the front brake lever more.Originally posted by yash3 View Posttoday i have installed the ABS for both front and rear
excellent superb awesome
only its appearance
i cannot feel any difference
comparing with the stock
i prefer the stock brake
now with ABS while applying both the brakes the rear tends to roll
(drag )
If iam not wrong u are using rear tyre as Sirac. The ABS isnt required at all. After all its a tractor tyre.
For stock tyre the ABS is really good. Decreases frequent lockups. For the front u can squeeze the brake lever more than normal. In simple terms the feedback would increase and u can feel it to some extent depending on how much brake is applied. But the braking bite would decrease.
PS- Kindly post your rev-limiter cut-off speeds. Also the exact speed your bike is doing at 6k rpm on 5th gear. It would be quite helpful to people who might think of shifting to 36T sprocket and Sirac. Dont u feel running so tall weird? I mean the bike doesnt pull properly with just the Sirac on. This accompanied with 36T is
!!

How stiff can u make the 220's forks without compromising on the comfort badly? The manual says to put 330ml oil. Max how much can i put? My forks bottom out pretty easily on corners. I want stiffer suspension. Yet i want the response to be sharp. Will changing fork oil help? Like Yamalube or any other.Last edited by rahul9985; 11-18-2009, 04:56 AM.Biking is not my Passion, it is my Religion!

no mate..it won't create any problem...its just a leakage..so it can be fixed up with a sealant used by PBKOriginally posted by truelypulsarian View PostSo by the leaking of the engine oli from that black cap will effect engine performance?
or it will create any new problems?its all about CC...

I've not seen the manual but the service centre guys said its 300ml! I am running 310ml, that's stiff enough to make the bike a lot more confident around corners and also has made it more flickable. But on bad roads it is a pain in the you know where.
I'd advise you to try 305ml and see the difference, and then go for 310 if you think you can go stiffer. 330ml will most prolly blow the fork seals. And quality in the fork is really not going to give you any perceptible difference. Only a higher end bike meant for higher speeds and better handling will be able show you the difference of using a better fork oil._________________________

Help!
Few points/inputs needed by you all!
I saw that a member here has put RTR grab rails on 220! I have been planning to do that, as the pillion would feel more safe holding a grab rail which can be HELD. I think it was yash3 who has done that modification. Is it a direct fit or some mod is needed for that?
Is there any way to cushion up the pillion seat, so that it will reduce the PITA (literally) for the pillion? It is a bit difficult for the pillion rider during long rides on the current seat of 220

sorry i cant help u on the rear grab rail.........
Ur right ...the rear seats a big sore for the butt.........
nothing that u cant mend....
u can get the seat a little more padded up by adding sponge and any similar material....
make sure u increase padding more than half an inch ....or u may remove the existing padding too... accomodate a newer softer one...My BiKe DoEsN't LeAk OiL, iT mArK's ItS TeRriToRy !

It wont affect your performance. Only the oil will keep on leaking slowly. If u redline frequently then more oil will leak. The gasket has to be changed every 5k kms. It costs just around 15rs.Originally posted by truelypulsarian View PostSo by the leaking of the engine oli from that black cap will effect engine performance?

The manual does say 330ml. Page 27, 28 & 29 Service Wise Part Kit. Mentioned thrice. Iam already running on almost 350ml oil.Originally posted by prafultripathy View Post330ml. Are you sure??

In my last refill forks were not filled properly. The level wasnt same in both the forks. I could feel the handle turning upon braking although i had other handling issues. After around 2k kms i again asked them to put another 50ml. It feels better now. They are not so soft like a normal one. But the action has decreased considerably. Courtesy not so great forks. Its been over 6k kms now. Oil seals are perfect.
Iam trying to make it as stiff as possible. The bike feels very flexible while cornering knee down.
I dont mind even if i have very bad pain in the you know where.
If u have seat cover the seat would be very hard. Without the cover they are just fine. It causes PITA because the seat is very narrow. If u wish to broaden it by doing some mods it would be better. U can put something really hard and add good cushion over it and stick it on the rear set and again put a bigger seat cover. Just my idea.Originally posted by panthro View PostFew points/inputs needed by you all!

The best thing is to keep the spine perfectly straight while pillioning. It helps. I sat like that for over 4 hours in heavy traffic. I was fine. No back pain. Only A** pain coz of seat cover.Biking is not my Passion, it is my Religion!

You can't insert a tube into the enclosure where the lights are there. You can fit external ones instead. but then that effect wont be there.Originally posted by niks_devil666 View PostHas anyone tried to fix angel eyes on the 220 ?
Would be interesting to see if someone comes up with a jugaad.
But do keep in mind battery load
the bane of the P220 Fi.
