.... Try dragging your bike with another stock 220 to see the difference in acceleration now...

Update on my Naked Beast:
The bike is running fine. Running a bit lean. Sick of adjusting the CO numerous number of times. Mileage & no. of kilometers run No Idea. I dont have the fairing and the speedo console anymore.
But for sure its over 18k kms. Removed the fairing at 16.8k kms.
Clutch plates are almost worn out. The clutch has become very hard & the bike screams like anything on high rpms
. On the positive side the bike still has pretty good acceleration and can still beat a stock 220 with a proper launch (Thanks to weight reduction of the fairing).
The sprocket has also almost worn out completely. May come for about 2-3k kms more.
Some mysterious problem with the battery. It doesnt get low (less than 12V) and doesnt charge. Stuck at the edge. I think some problem with RR.
Handling problem not resolved yet. But i got totally used to it.
Application of brakes produces tick sound. No idea from where it is coming.
New tyre (IRC NR57 120/80-17") is pretty good. Good (much better than stock) overall dry and wet grip but pathetic (worse than stock) for offroading. The front has uneven wear. More worn on the right side than the left side. Will change it after some 6k kms.
Many nuts and bolts have got loose & a few have fallen off due to my prolonged high revving riding style.Biking is not my Passion, it is my Religion!
DIY whatever it is..!!More on Facebook

the fi comes with a cat con as far as i know... on another website, a pro had posted that the pulsars dont require a cat con..was pretty astonishing to me too.... i really dont think my bike has cat con either...Originally posted by ajslave View Post^like he said above, he only meant the sprocket
. revised gearing usually refers to changing ratios individually, like shortening one gear and making the next longer, etc.
OT: one of the 'senior' members on another forum told me that the 220 Fi doesnt come with a catalytic converter. OMG, is it true??
oh man.!! sorry bout ur bike's problems... ur lucky ur not much of a perfectionist as some are .... one small scratch and i'll break my head over it.. i can imagine ur condition..Originally posted by rahul9985 View PostUpdate on my Naked Beast:

chain slack means --- see the chain has a certain tension between the front and rear sprocketOriginally posted by truelypulsarian View Post

have u ridden bicycles ? oh dumb question.... u should have ridden
sorry
see when the chain is loose ,everytime u peddle , the chain keeps slipping out of the sprocket teeth... experienced it? in case of a bike, the chain wont slip out...but in rare cases they slip out....
what praful bhai meant is , the chain might be a little lose.. and if ur chain is making a constant noise, its coz the sprockets are very new.. they take time to wear out and reduce in noise...
the 220 kind of makes noises like that,.. coz the whole chain assembly is open..in other bikes, there is a chain guard..not much sound heard..dont wrooy brother... its fine..
the oil ur using to lubricate the chain is fine... lub it once every 500kms or if u find chain to be dirty...k ?
oh and im yet to buy lube for my bike... i think i'll buy motul ...ive arranged for it...My BiKe DoEsN't LeAk OiL, iT mArK's ItS TeRriToRy !
