The 5100 is almost identical to the 300V, I would say its 80% 300V

The difference is noticeable only when you ride hard for an extended period of time, after 4-5 hours of riding the 5100 gets slightly rough whilst the 300V still remains smooth.

In Chennai weather, 5100 lasted about 3.5-4K kms for me Vs. the 300V lasting about 4.5-5.5K kms!

Recently got my bore kit changed and the first 700 KMs was with the oil from chennain pbk, I felt the bike to be butter smooth and gear shiftings were like blade on the ice.
Got the oil changed to 5100 its still smooth but not as smooth as the first 700 KMs..

Replaced the front Piston caliper kit to Bybre, new Bybre is better than the 4 yrs old KBX after few 100 KMs the brakes have set very effective..

Thanks mach. Any gyaan what oil they used there in PBK, question out of sheer curiosity?

      Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

      • The stock FI has a 37T rear. How do you guys source the rear sprocket while changing the final tranny now that Bajaj spares don't have it (not here at least). Do you go with other manufacturers? Some of you have custom made sprockets I'm sure.

I guess I'll check the smaller ASCs.. They don't give the sprocket separately I suppose?

i think there is some problem with fuel pump motor, because once it started and all of sudden dead again......any clues??? which wirings should i check???

You won't be able to push start a FI engine, unless the pump is working, or the same if the battery is dead. I guess your pump must have gone kaput.

How severe is the leak ?

I had this problem way back in 2008, IIRC the metal bit of the breather pipe was replaced.
