And yeah I've done 144 kmph with crouching... On a 220 with stock front tyres thats like doing 146+

    So what?

Doesn't matter, on an average the P220 Fi in its stock form will hit only about 125-128 without crouching under most conditions and to go further one has to crouch, unless certain special conditions are there.

    • The weight of the rider and the pillion is also a big factor in the speed achieved.

yes that's rite the weight of pillion should b less than the rider's weight.... to maintain pickup and speed..

Completely stock bike. Just running a taller profile rear tyre!

The SVM's (Shoulder View Mirrors ) the stock RVM's of the P 220, are totally useless. so started to experimenting with the RVM's and thought of extending the length and made the following setup:

This didnt work well in-spite of all the efforts, the welds broke-off after 2 days , so i retained to stock setup.

So thought of fitting the R-15 or Fazer RVm's & below are the pics. this setup is working fine with excellent rear view, but with a small irritating factor. the RVM's are vibrating below 4K RPM & on pot holed roads with very blurred image, but as soon as the Revs climb up, the vibes disappeared and at speeds over 90 kph, they were simply superb.

You should be having an awesome rear view now. Pity, can't say the same for the bike though. Those mirrors seem too tall for it.

yeah but the stock setup is too irritating, and very dangerous especially on the GQ at high speeds, i cant see the high-speed traffic (cars in the fast lane) overtaking me until they come to a bike's length behind, which proved too dangerous a couple of times.

@frankpilly: Is it a direct fit, and also, what is the total cost of the two mirrors ?

Direct fit, yes, but the holes on the P220's mounting clamps needed to be enlarged to accommodate the Fazer's RVMs as they are slightly bigger. so i used a drill and enlarged the holes (originally threaded) the fixed the RVM's using 2 nuts.

the cost is 700 per set.

                            • logged on to xBhp after a long time... And what's this I see

No offence frankpilli, but its looks outrageously funny yaar

I feel the RTR mirrors are the best compromise between looks and functionality.

Btw, with the extended length this will actually weaken the frame holding the front fairing over a period time.

                              • Anyone faced/facing similar prob as below

Bike struggles at lower RPMs especially while riding in traffic.. accelerates suddenly after a big drop in acceleration.. i am facing this prob for a long time... 3 services done.. took to pbk for the same issue 6 times, but still not a permanent solution... Fuel filter changed, CO adjusted and whatever PBK did so far did not give a permanent solution; this prob is so unusually usual...
