No offence frankpilli, but its looks outrageously funny yaar

I feel the RTR mirrors are the best compromise between looks and functionality.

Btw, with the extended length this will actually weaken the frame holding the front fairing over a period time.
Ok Praful, took it positively and these two days of riding, i didn't bother about the "looks" but the functionality is superb. but vibrating a lot below 4 k Rpm and as u said "with the extended length this will actually weaken the frame holding the front fairing over a period time" its true, and when riding in rush hour traffic, fearing a lot that the RVMs may touch other vehicles while overtaking .

so getting back to stock set-up with some mods to increase the RVMs length by 2 or 3 inches.

Yep, the extended length and increase in weight (of RTR mirrors) have developed a crack on the frame extension that holds the mirrors.. Because of which, every time the bike has a good shake, the screeching sound comes

Fuel filter changed, CO adjusted and whatever PBK did so far did not give a permanent solution; this prob is so unusually usual...
When was your spark plug last changed?

You issue can be caused only due to some blockage (air filter/fuel filter) or a Tuning issue (CO setting) or there is a Issue with some of the sensors.

Ask the PBK to connect the diagnostic tool and check if some sensors have gone kaput.

Lastly also check if there is water in your fuel tank.

I faced this issue on my machine. For me the CO set was too low 1. something . Get it set to above 2 , that should solve the problem .. By the way , where do u stay ?
I faced this problem after Khivraj Bangalore fondled with my bike after I shifted from Mumbai .

              • giving my bike for service tomorrow.of late my bike is giving pathetic mileage and there is considerable loss of power as well.i checked the plugs and it it shows a very rich AFR. i had asked PBK to adjust my bikes CO last month. it ran OK and was giving me around 35-40kmpl but within a week it the mileage dropped alarmingly. looks like there is some problem with the sensor or ignition timing.spark plug and air filter are all new.chain slack is fine

things I would like to change or get checked are:

                1) ignition timing.
                2) check all sensors using the diagnostic tool (mine is the FI bike)
                3) throttle body cleaning.
                4) new clutch plates
                5) fix leak on the cylinder head
                6) rear wheel bearing is busted, got to change
                7) the right switch gear is malfunctioning
                8) steering cone adjustment
                9) need a new cover for left spark plug.old one developed multiple tears.

is there anything that Iam missing?
BTW how much is the price for the clutch plates?

everything fine. i wonder how a spark plug cover develops tear? sensor checking is mandatory and is always done. get the cylinder's compression checked and tappets set. steering cone adjustment needs to be done if the cone set is alright, and should be greased well. take care of these Happy servicing.

                  • Forgot to update on this thread...

Broke my bike's gear 'dog' sometime. Realised only when the oil was being drained.

Bike kept running without any issues as the other 4 'dogs' were still intact and holding the gear in place.

Before anyone jumps and starts posting stuff about quality niggles, I just wanna say I'm amazed the engine has held so well for the past 60K kms with my kind of abusive riding...

What is gear 'dog'? I am unable to understand the exact defective part.

I can't find an image to explain it visually.

But its with what one gear locks itself with a gear next to it.

Lol... that has made it further difficult to understand that thing. BTW, Is it external part or a engine internal part?
