dude switch back to stock air filter.U will see the performance difference as soon as u switch back to stock.

Thanks for the suggestion guys but as you suggest going back to stock air filter, Is it any advisable to go with a pulsar 220 specific k&n filter ? I really love the growl of this filter and will find it difficult to let it go ....

We suggest you to Identify the cause and sort out the issues first.

Get the stock airbox back.. Visit THIS..should solve. NO airbox = wrong volumetric airflow= bad performance. Remove the airbox's nostril if you want the sound

..nothing more.

Hi praful it has been almost more than 2 wks over i've given the order for new instrument cluster DK191020 to kolkata PBK....they still did not able to give me the product....now they are playing hide n seek with me about the product. i'm getting with kolkata PBK......can you please help me out from this problem....is this part product available to you....or is there any other way to get this product please inform me....

Had taken the bike to my mechanic and he drove it around and inspected the bike and said the clutch plate can still do many miles & he said it might need servicing... so i believe it's not the clutch plate.
While riding the bike i still get jerk-like feelings at low RPMs and sometimes gives me a feeling that it's running low on fuel (even when the tank is quarter full). Can it be the fuel filter ? considering i haven't changed it since last 6K kms ? again if it's fuel filter i don't think it can anyway affect my initial pick-up ?

Are you suggesting me to get a specific K&N filter for pulsar 220 Fi or the bajaj stock one ? sorry but i am confused by your reply.

If clutch plate is good then it needs no servicing

.
Fuel filter has the change interval of 5K KMs.. If there are any block in fuel supply, jerky feel and poor pickups are possible.

An update from my end.

lately, I was getting bad throttle response. In lower gears, the bike had lag in acceleration & in high rpm, it would produce missing/misfire sound. Got the spark plugs changed. Situation improved a bit but still i could not feel the good throttle response of the 220 Fi.
Glad to have Okhla PBK. Their staff are very co-operating & I wouldn't hesitate to say that they may be the best PBK!
First they suspected that throttle body has gone bad but then they took out the whole throttle body & gave it a nice clean, changed some sealings & now, the bike is back to it's original response. Loving it

So guys, it this is a problem you are facing, here is something to know about. Apparently, taking the whole throttle body out & cleaning them is last option since too much/regular cleaning would rob the throttle body of some polish it has!

I think its been posted a million times in the thread

"Clean throttle body every 10-15K kms" "Clean throttle body every 10-15K kms" "Clean throttle body every 10-15K kms"

Ok, bike will have to be tuned again after this since the idling and all usually goes kaput. Then it will need a re-tune again in 1K kms after there is enough carbon deposits again on the TB.

'Sticky Butterfly' is almost a certainty after 10-20K kms of use!

I can check with my PBK if they have it in stock, or if they can source it. And then I can courier it to you, but it will take a long time since I am not going to the PBK anytime soon!

have to be tuned again, meaning the Co Setting, right? That they did before delivery. This is news for me to clean again in 1000kms

Tuning = CO Tuning wonlee baas... kya

After 1K there will some amount of carbon deposits again on the TB, so the CO tuning process will need to be re-done again.

want to make one point here. They used to just remove a plate & clean it when I would say them to clean the throttle body. The plate has many sections in shape of rhombus (Am i correct here?

) this time they took out the whole throttle body & gave it a thorough cleaning.

Yep! Bike should respond very well now!
