      • Best bike owned to date! done 45000km in around 2.5 years ... with a lot of highway rides, offroad rides.

pune- Bangalore mysore ooty , Atleast 6 Pune-Goa trips, and lots of <300km trips.

Still running strong, Still running on Stock Clutch plates. No major breakdowns (touchwood)

All i do is change the oil every 2000kms, and change the routine parts such as sparkplugs, Chain sprockets etc.

        • ^^ Buddy welcome to xBhp

Good to see another satisfied 220 owner here and another high mileage rider.

PS: 45K is too much to go without a clutch plate change. IMO, please do it soon.

PPS: Were you earlier on xBhp too? Ur ID seems to ring a bell!

          • @Praful:- Yes i was a member since 2006, my Id got deleted after the Xbhp site crashed. Have been doing solo rides for quite some time.

Now i am planin to get back to regular riding with the Xbhp members.

Yes i know 45000km is a long time to change the clutch plates, but the thing is that i have this weird thing, i like to keep the bike as stock as possible when it comes to the engine. I always feel that if i tell those service center guys to do something, they will screw up my bike and make it worst.

My clutch hasnt given me any problems as of now, its not slipping. But i do intend to change it soon.

I ride the Thunderbird these days its new, only three months old. I use the enfield more these days.

              • Is it possible to change the front suspension bottom part only? Or just one side? Because my bike's suspension has a problem. And it needs to be replaced. The left side front suspension.

Check the de-clutch switch. This is the oldest problem facing the 220Fi. I changed something called as pigtail clutch switch. But in my case the display and all was working.

Sorry, in my case, there is 'No Power' at all anywhere. No meter light, no horn, nothing at all. Even after fitting the charged battery of my 180 UG4, which has the same battery as that comes with 220 i.e. 9Ah. I then removed the relay that is fitted on the right side of battery, and fitted the new one of my UG4, suddenly all the lights and instrument cluster came to life. But, still No horns, No Starter. Bike is still dead!

P.S: I checked the fuse on the left side of battery and one under the rear seat inside the black box. Both are intact. Any more fuses to check for?

need to get the cone set replaced. handlebars wobble when doing speeds above 60 when i take my hands of them.

sprockets show no wear and tear.
                            tires are good.
                            electrical's are fine.

                            • Gave my bike to PBK, today. They said that the whole electrical check-up of the bike has tobe done and will take 2-3 days.

Any suggestions on what parts to replace and schedule maintenance works, my bike has clocked 10,000kms :

I told them to do below mentioned works,

                              1) Replace fuel filter

                              2) Replace air filter

                              3) Check fuel-lines

                              4) Replace engine oil

                              5) Replace oil filter (They said that, no oil filter in 220 FI)

what more to change for?? My bike was not started for 3-4 months, so what things to tell them to check for???

Tell them to clean oil pump(mesh kind of) inside clutch assembly. that is the oil filter in pulsar which just needs cleaning.
