Hello to all the 220 Fi owners
How are you, my brothers?? Hope you are doing well & as well your bike too. It's been quite some long time since I was away from this forum.
Well, to start with, my bike has completed 34,000+ kms. It was bought on Sep'08. Didn't do much of tours though.
When my bike was nearing the 30 k mark, I was having problem in lower RPM. The bike was responding in lower RMP & was missing ignition. They thoroughly checked the bike at both the service station (Kirti Nagar & Okhla). But couldn't find the solution. Finally got hold of a senior person & after listening over the phone, he guessed that the fuel pump might have gone wrong. And yes, he was right. In the meantime, I completed 30,000 kms so the warranty period was over. Got the fuel pump changed. I had to pay 3000 bucks. Also, got the fairing, fairing bracket, headlamp & silencer changed after claiming insurance. Total cost was Rs 13000 & got Rs 9000 from the insurance company. Now, had to change the chain set once again within this 30K kms span. No major problem except that the performance seems to be on the lower side a bit & i guess it's time to get the clutch plates, wire changed.
But I have a complaint against the Bajaj. The quality standard of it's have taken a serious beating. I have noticed that dust has started accumulating in the headlamp despite the fact I did not have any accident after I got this changed in Feb. Seems like again have to start a battle with them.

I had a minor crash long time back. The headlamp developed a crack. Fairing was bruised. Silencer also got damaged a little. So decided to change everything since can't see her in so bad shape
You can all understand
5 free services done long time back. After that i don;t remember how many times I have serviced. After every 2000 kms or so."HASTA LA VICTORIA, SIEMPRE !" - Chesigpic

There is a breather pipe in at the backside of the headlamp assembly. That has a sponge dust filter. Check if that has fallen off!Originally posted by rx100.7050 View PostThe quality standard of it's have taken a serious beating. I think I've asked you this before. what the sizes of the front and rear tyre you are running?
92 kmph with the dtsi sprocket is really really tall geared. Have you tested the bike on the roller bench? what's the 0-60 time?_________________________

Guys, had a minor crash a week ago, a fool in front of me turned abruptly without signal and i have to break hard to avoid him. so i lost the front end while panic breaking and fell off the bike. i am almost coming to a halt before crashing (around < 25kph while crashing) and in the process i got my right hand & left fingers injured, the helmet took the impact saving my head. i am posting some pics here, the reason for this post is a particular part of the bike. very surprising thing is its the STARTER BUTTON
. very square very sharp, i couldn't remember the incident how & in which position i fell & how my right hand got in contact with it. so after getting treated, came back to the bike & inspected it, found very minimal damage due to lower crashing speeds, and found the stater button came out of its socket with some flesh attached to it. so my advice to all of you is to file the square & sharp edges of it to a more rounded shape for safety.
of-course i'm wearing a T-shirt and not wearing my gloves.(i'm wearing my helmet
) but the place of injury was on my inner elbow, very narrowly avoiding the main blood vessel. very un-usual place for a motorbike injury.

God Graced you that the elbow was not injured.
Some of the pictures you have posted might distract some poor heart persons. Better to remove them.
